Defending with the ball vs defending without it. Only two teams had a better defensive record from open play than we did that season under Potter. Just a shame set pieces ruined us. His Brighton side are the same, dominate the ball and restrict opposition chances. | | | |

You could be right RJ, although suspect the Wilson situation is likely to resolve sooner as he is clearly not in Klopp’s plans whereas with Wolves having a new gaffer you’d have to think he’d want to have a decent look at MGW before allowing a loan/exit - might be a late window option. | | | |

This would be precisely what we need and desperately missed last term.
The way in which Wilson, Mount and Huddlestone totally bossed us (even with Grimes as DCM) in 2019 was massively impressive.
If we manage to retain Grimes, our best player and talisman, our midfield could kick on and deliver what our controlled defensive platform deserves.
