Just watched the U20's Wales showed plenty of endeavour but to many errors and England's quality in the right areas have done for us 21-37 FT

Its very good, brilliant interception by Italy right on H/T.

Sad to hear that Tom Tierney has passed away aged 46, shocking.

RIP. Tom Tierney.

There must be 30 or 40 forward passes in games these days.
It seems to be accepted.

Wales beaten by the better side. Let’s face it, it could / should have been a greater margin.

I though Freddie Steward was immense as was the England back row and locks. Great to the breakdown and won penalties time after time.

Wales just slow to the breakdown and slow in thought.

I can see them getting no points this year. Italy seem to have more about them.

Freddie Steward would have been immense sitting in the crowd - the number of times Tomos Williams kicked the ball down his throat. 😂

Well yes, but what he had to do he did almost faultlessly.

Pick the bones out of this then.

Tomas Francis is never an International standard Scrum Half, Dillion Lewis and Rhys Carre nowhere near either and sadly its time for AWJ and Ken Owens to hang their International boots up as well.

Far to slow in supporting the player with the ball in the rucks and when we do get there we don't clear out which attracts penalties cause we go for the ball instead.

How many forward passes did England make in that game though and yet only one was pulled up.
Steward had an armchair ride as well, mainly because he was aided by players blocking the path to him off and not once were they penalised, no wonder he had MOM.

Oh, and Jiffy got on my tits with his commentary.

Feel better now?

They weren’t illegally blocking though, they just weren’t getting out of the way. Clever play.

I thought Tomas Williams did ok to be fair but the midfield were clueless and looked for contact far too often and as we both agree, the rest are slow to the breakdown resulting in turnovers one way or another.

You call it clever play I call it illegal, getting away with it once I'd accept but all afternoon and I'm gonna call it up.
At 6'5" he didn't need to be blocked.

Why cannot hookers throw to the jumpers ?

Right now,we are in awful shape with discord in administration and rather hapless players .
We should and could do better but Gatland was wrong choice but Gid almighty his players are not fit enough ,strong enough, nor smart enough.
That we expect Italy to beat us is significant

I'm in a well known town in South Devon. Loads of Welsh down here. Watched the game in an Irish bar today. A group of middle aged women with all the Welsh regalia on. Hardly watched the match, just nattered and screeched amongst themselves. FFS!!
Also thought it was a pretty average England side today. The full back was immense though . Predicted his man of the match before Jiffy announced it.

That's a little unfair (IMO of course). We've had 3.5 years of Pivac and Gatland has to clean that mess up. Play the youngsters if you ask me
