Top 3 Saints wishes for the summer on 21:02 - May 1 with 2830 views | ElijahK | I think we also need at least one new keeper, attacker and winger. But yeah I think that lists fair, and we’ll all be able to see whether this new owners just another Gao, an owner that’ll give us a bit of cash here and there but never too much or our very own Abramovich (thankfully not a Russian/put on connected one though!) when summer comes around and the transfer markets open up. Hopefully we can do as well as last season, as other than A Armstrong, all 4 of our signings/loans have been worth it, and certainly paid off [Post edited 1 May 2022 21:43]

Top 3 Saints wishes for the summer on 09:39 - May 2 with 2606 views | MytchettSaint | 1; the club offer a reduced season ticket to cover all games except those against the big six, for those fans who get a bit of vomit in their throat at the thought of those clubs and their insufferable fans turning up at St Mary’s. The club can then sell tickets to those games at vastly inflated prices to the day trippers. 2; Ralph and his team gone. 3; McCarthy, Bednarek, Stephens, Djenepo, Redmond, Walcott, Long, all moved out of the club and off the wage bill. Get some players who aren’t nicking a living into the club.

When you say all 4 of our signings bar Armstrong have been good, who do you mean as we signed 11 players in total this season. I would argue that there’s been very limited success. Tino looked good up until Christmas but had gone right off the boil before his Nasty Injury. Broja was poor at the start, good in the middle now very poor. The others have not been able to force them selves permanently into a poor premiership team that came 15th last season. You could argue this season is worse than last season as Ralph had his squad that he wanted.

Well unless your also referring to youth (aka going from the youth to first team/signings for the youth teams) then no we’ve only had 5 main team singings this season (A Armstrong, Broja, Parraud, Livermento and Lyanco). But yeah both Livermento and Broja had their poor periods, but they’re great ones (which was more than just a few games) have shown us of how good they could be if they can consistently play at their best. And when you look at how long we’ll have them for, and we’ll as the signings we’ve made in the past, this is certainly one of the better seasons for us on the signings side of things

When was the last time Broja scored? The chip on his shoulder is as big as his chin.

We also signed Walcott and Caberello and Small. Small looks miles off what we expected. As I said we signed a load of players to take us from 15th to err 15th

No in all fairness I forgot about small (although most did think he’d be youth rather than first team) and Cabellero (who I wouldn’t call a poor signing as he did decent enough for the games we needed him for and will be released in a few months anyway), but Walcott I guess was a signing (although many knew he was gonna be a waste and we did have him on loan beforehand). But for the proper first team signings that we’d not had last season, it’s only A Armstrong that’s been that poor. And yeah we’ve not improved position wise, but we also lost 2 decent players (Ings and Vestergaard) and Bertrand (who was getting old anyway, but still had a few seasons left), so we made up for some major losses with the signings we made, and solved a major weakness of last season (but due to us not keeping hold of players/getting enough money just opened up another issue) [Post edited 2 May 2022 20:25]
