Well, Swansea hasn’t got an airport as such so it may suit him 😂

It it did
You could fly to Jersey from Fairwood although it was by Charles Lindbergh airways
Learned to drive on the approach road

There was also Air Wales, who for a few years from 2001 offered a competitive London service (London City mind). What then happened is a sad story.

I flew Air Wales to Newcastle around 2004 or so. in an old turboprop. It was before UK storms had been given names.

The wind on that day s deserved a name for sure. I was terrified. One engine stopped over Gloucester and we had to return. A rough landing in cross winds at Newcastle too.

Many years ago I flew to Guernsey from Southampton in an old turbo prop, the weather was pretty windy and we seemed to rattle and sway all the way. As we approached Guernsey airport the pilot informed us that we could see a sister plane of the one we were on in a field from the left hand side of the plane having missed its approach a couple of days earlier!

Work related to a massive wind farm on the Isle of Lewis. Not football related.
