First year official David Phillips will be in charge at St James’ Park on Saturday, refereeing a Dale game for the first time.
His most recent match was last weekend at Southend, where he oversaw a winning start to his Huddersfield career for new Town manager Lee Clark.
In total this season Mr Phillips has officiated at 13 games, nine of which have been in League Two.
He has shown 36 yellow cards and four red, including two in the match between Wycombe and Darlington in October.
Last season, of course, David mainly refereed in the Blue Square Premier League and twice took charge of Exeter games, the most recent being a 1-0 home defeat of Kidderminster in March.
