If Huw's bought the gun it'll probably kill your next door neighbour. Have a word.

£15.3m profit on 14:14 - Mar 14 with 1733 views | Swanaldinho | The amounts in question are peanuts when you consider our annual turnover and what these great people have done for our club over the years. If they were some Risdale types who had just walked in to the club and were skimming off the top then fair enough but these guys a club men through and through and have invested their life in Swansea City. So what if they are awarded a few contracts?

£15.3m profit on 11:46 - Mar 14 by Dr_Winston | "If the board choose to use LD's vending machine company is it really the end of the world?" If another company can provide the same service for less, then yes. We have to remain vigilant to ensure that our club remains precisely that, rather than a cash generator for specific individuals. It's entirely possible, indeed probable that nothing untoward has gone on, but we have to remain questioning. Like Uxy said, the instant we stop doing that we're no better than the Redbird Sheep.

I'll just bump this in response to Swanaldinho's post, as I couldn't have put it half as well. Anyway, for the record, I'm not suggesting any impropriety with any of these transactions related to directors. We've had it confirmed on this thread that any such contracts are put out to tender, and it's that governance that would be my main concern. So long as that is happening then I'm happy we are supporting local businesses and particularly people who have worked tirelessly for the club. It's just a shame that it takes a topic like this to find such things out.

Your last sentence is typical grade D bullshit. What is a shame is that you and jackinoco get your knickers in a twist because you apparently don't understand auditors' responsibilities either: "an understanding of the entity’s related party relationships and transactions is relevant to the auditor’s evaluation of whether one or more fraud risk factors are present as required by ISA (UK and Ireland) , because fraud may be more easily committed through related parties. It's got to be Bing. Inaccurate and utterly irrelevant to the topic at hand. Google would at least have got the topic right. [Post edited 14 Mar 2014 15:26]

Now, now, that's unfair. It's totally possible that he genuinely is a M&A titan who has encyclopaedic knowledge of all legal, accountancy, financial and economic matters. Oh, and an expert on football too. It's totally plausible. Stop laughing, it is. Stop it.

. . .and trader extraordinaire, whose futures account is up by around 52% since last Friday primarily shorting the E-mini S&P 500 contract. The bear market is about to reassert itself boys, which is bad news for fools like yourselves because you always get wiped out one way or another. That's why I'm a socialist, don't you know.

You don't just buy and sell a single contract (unless you are very small time). Using definite article "the", and the lack of an S, gives you away. Hard luck, chum.

Agreed to a point. If we're talking about whether, for example, directors salaries are excessive though then useful to compare.
