He looked half a yard off the pace and struggled to control the ball at times

I thought Park had an excellent game. Gave us time on the ball, I have no idea what you were watching if you really believe he struggled to find a team-mate.
I also thought Mbia and Bosingwa had really good games.

I honestly can't see what he did today that was so bad in the eyes of some.
Wasn't a MOTM performance but pressed well and kept the game ticking to our pace - a vast improvement on the invisible passenger he was earlier this season. |  | | |

Unfair comment. Wasn't mom but did ok. Thought with the ball he was tidy enough, it was without it where he struggled a bit. Not the answer for me but one of his better performances and should be happy enough with his contribution. | | | |

Worked hard but didn't have much impact on the game. MOM has to be Townsend. The first goal came off his blocked shot, then he scored a beauty. He worked hard all game and gave Sunderland constant problems. A wingers master class. | | | |

I'm hardly Parks biggest fan but he was good today, solid in possession and he improved as the game wore on. Still think he has trouble with people running directly at him/behind him but he is getting better for sure.
The abuse he gets from the stands is something I really find disagreeable. After he hit a pass a bit too hard in the first ten minutes the bloke behind me said he can't pass more than ten yards because of his "slitty' eyes. Bang out of order. |  | | |

I mean I agree Park wasn't singularly stellar but in the circumstances there was no guarantee a physically unfit Jenas or a mentally unfit Granero could have done what he did over 90 minutes. Pat on the back for a job well done IMO.

In my opinion the positive is that he does a lot of work covering opposition players, and cutting down their passing options. I think he's come into his own a bit more with Derry out of the side, which means Park can play a bit more of the Derry role, and use his ability to read the game to go around sniffing out trouble and be in the right place. He also seems to be improving in his distribution of the ball and in his rapport with his team mates.
I am pretty convinced the problem with Park is *not* that he's lost his engine. We saw that in the Southampton game when he was chasing opposition players in the 96th minute. The problem is his balance, speed of turn, and body strength which he either never had, or has disappeared, which means he rarely comes out of a 50/50 tackle with the ball. |  |

I thought Park was a lot better than he has been but not MoTM. Bosingwa had a good game too but these players should have been performing like this most of the season, not just the last couple of games.
If they can all keep going like this until the end of the season then we have a chance.

I thought Park gave the ball away quite a lot, but often that was off the back of breaking up something Sunderland were doing.
Watching on-and-off as I was, at least he looked like he was in the game and giving some effort.
So...... if Park is playing better, Bosingwa is playing much better, and everyone is looking more like a team than at any stage this season........... I take that to mean we'll start looking really good, put some results together......... and then get tragically relegated on GD! |  |

Someone further down mentions Hoillet but personally I felt park was equal or better than him today and didn't think Hill was at his best first half either. It wasn't obvious that park was the worst player. | | | |

Nonsense. Had a very good game. Won plenty of the ball, passed the ball well, ran his heart out. Always available to be passed to.
However, I thought another hated player, Bosingwa was man of the match. He was excellent. If only he always played like that. |  |

Its funny how everyone has a different MOM, (M'Bia for me, gave his shirt away again today as well) proves we are playing as a team now, hope Harry has timed his purple patch to perfection especially with "on paper" winnable games coming up, will we soon hear those words " and QPR have moved out of the bottom three".
