Looks like he won't be defending his Oz Open title then.

But then again, Kent have a few spare boats he can borrow to get in.

So why do those consequences not apply to the lesser known tennis players and officials who have been allowed in to Australia with ...yes you guessed it exemptions (numbering around 16 at last count)

How many of the England Cricket team have tested positive since going to OZ, even Botham has.

Djokovic is a valuable publicity mark for a lazy prime-minister who has outsourced the job to the states over the past 23 months but has an election looming just weeks away. Why invite someone, assure them of exemption then allow them to fly there, 24 hours or so in transit, only to very publicly refuse them entry at the border otherwise? The borders have been porous to the sports community, movie crews and wealthy oligarchs since the beginning. Djokovic however is outspoken about the right to freedom of choice without being stripped of the right to employment/earn. That makes him a political dissident in the New Xi-Esque Australia.

From reading the article in the Daily Mail which AFD kindly posted, it seems Tennis Australia have a big part to play in this debacle but there’s no doubt the Australian politicians are trying to make political capital.

You’re spot on with your comments about borders being porous for the sports community, movie crews and the wealthy, IMHO a situation like that is completely unacceptable and no one, regardless of whoever they are should be above the law. A significant factor for the Aussie backlash is because they believe the rules/law isn’t being applied consistently and transparently.

I am vaccinated and while I’d like others to get vaccinated I believe it’s down to personal choice. If he’s not vaccinated and therefore doesn’t satisfy the eligibility rules it's down to him if they won’t let him in. tIn My take on it is simple - the Aussies are perfectly entitled to refuse him entry, but it should have been dealt with much more professionally.

It will be interesting to see how things shape up this summer with regards to foreign holidays and the no vaccine no entry rule, we could find a lot of people holidaying in Blighty again!!!

Should be one rule for all. Currently if you do not have a vaccine passport in the UK you cannot travel abroad .
Should apply worldwide no vaccine passports no travelling outside your own country.

Your choice .

Yes you can. You provide proof of a negative PCR test. Then depending on what country your going to take another and isolate a few days til the result comes through.

Try reading the whole set of circumstances before passing judgment mate. As sportsmen go he has to be one of the most gracious competitors sport in general has seen.

I think it would be completely out of character for him to behave like he was trying it on. He gave all the facts of his circumstances to Tennis Australia (who obviously can’t hand out visas) so they must have passed the info on to the State Government of Victoria. They rubber stamped it but apparently the federal (all Australian rules) are different. So the fault lies between State Goverment and The federal Government.

I have a feeling the Federal Government were well aware of the gap in rules and wanted to make an example of him. Sh*t behaviour from what’s become an absolute toilet of a country. To rub it in it’s Serbian Orthodox Christmas on January 7th. “Merry Christmas Novak, get in this cell mate”.

I guess I’m stupid for not being vaccinated then , you know getting injected with an experimental drug something that is my my own choice even though eventually I believe we will be forced by being oppressed like the Jewish we’re back in hitlers day , however let me tell you why I think I’m not stupid , I had covid September 2020 yes for a few days I was rough however 2008 I had the flu I genuinely thought I was dying , August 2021 I was in my next door neighbours man cave there were six of us the shed/cave is no wider than 3 meters and about 6 in length , they all went down with covid and they were all jabbed , September we had a piss-up down the in-laws they all went down with covid they are all jabbed , Christmas Day/night just gone same again down the in-laws once again everyone now has covid they are all jabbed my daughter is still (in her room ) testing positive on lateral flows , well what about me ? I’m not jabbed and them 3 instances it has not affected me , I hit the gym 3 times a week run a few times , play football on a Saturday weather permitting, I eat clean drink alcohol very rarely and take vitamin c and d daily , so tell me why should I take a vaccine for a infection that causes Deaths that are most pronounced in people over 75 with chronic kidney disease , dementia , obesity or diabetes. I’m not anti vaccine it’s peoples choice however it’s not the choice for me and just to add my friend Nic a father of three had his booster just over a week ago he is now in hospital with multiple blood clots to the brain

It is true though why should he allowed to break Australian law.
Fortunately 92% of adults in the UK are vaccinated and agree with me. Are they all morons or are they just more intelligent than 8% or adults who are stupid enough not to get vaccinated.

Bet it must be fun to drive around not wearing seat belts in a car with no MOT and faulty brakes because obeying rules is against your human rights.

In the 1930s why should Jews have been allowed to break German law?

The problem is the unethical law.

In the aftermath of WWII the great and the good truly understood the consequences of allowing this kind of bull to stand.
It is why they made it international law to make medical compulsion illegal.
Now we have forgotten and are repeating all of the same mistakes, once again submitting to tyrants

I never truly understood it when old men told me that in Nazi Germany good people were persuaded to do evil things. I got the logic, but didn't really understand how it would be possible to hoodwink millions of people.
Now I understand.

I'd like to lock horns with you K but not sure if I have

1.The Interlect and
2. The inclination to avoid getting wound up by this odious Serb.

I will admit I have a deep seated issue with Serbia which I wont go into here but I have a niece out there being visited right now my wifey's sister, who got an permission for being parents of an Aussie citizen.

I deeply resent anyone swanning around unjabbed during these times. Most see the sense, some do not. Thoe not wanting a jab will not change their views.

The risks with Chemo and Radiotherapy are greater. Trust me.

I'll just say this...

You think the "unvaxxed" are being selfish yes?
Why? It can't be because they are putting the vaxxed at risk can it? Because if the vaccines work the vaxxed are safe.

So I can only assume that people who hold your position believe that the unvaxxed are being selfish by allowing Corona Virus to mutate, to survive longer and to allow themselves to become a burden that the vaxxed have to carry...

1 - Allowing the virus the opportunity to mutate
The virus has already mutated dozens of times. That is what viruses do. By vaccinating everybody in the manner that we did...giving the same antibodies to everyone...we actually increased the chances that the virus would mutate.
This is basic science, well understood.

2 - Allowing it to survive longer.
The virus, like any virus, is not going anywhere. Like nearly all viruses it will mutate to be milder, in order to survive. This has already happened. We will live with it now, like we live with flu etc.
We will help the weak and the vulnerable by updating vaccines to fight the latest mutation every winter.

3 - Allowing oneself to become a burden on the NHS etc.
The virus is now at the same level as flu. The NHS had extra capacity built for it, it never needed to use it. The NHS has had an open cheque book.
Tje biggest 3 problems facing the NHS are now;

a) The under staffing caused by the now ludicrous isolation policies - this is what has created pressure on capacity

b) Our ability to pay for the NHS going forward with a perhaps permanently damaged economy...government needs to take it's foot off everybody's necks now or there is not going to be an NHS or a state unless we can generate the tax to pay for it all

c) The back logs and health issues, societal issues, mental health issues, the permanently damaged children who have not been allowed to develop and be educated as a child should be, the increase in all kinds of health problems that politicians and the idiots who pressured them into making such decisions and took part in silencing all sensible debate CAUSED.

I am vaccinated, triple jabbed, and the people I deeply resent are the people responsible for this mess...including those who took us down this route in response to the virus as well as the CCP for releasing it.

Do you wear a seatbelt? You know the law? Comparing rape to a vaccine is one of the crassest comments I have ever heard, up there with the covidiots comparing the holocaust to the vaccine programme.
