Is it? I am pretty sure not one person in the world finds it hilarious. Not even a complete farce of a man such as yourself.

It looks like djsaint finds things hilarious, and being that I replied to his comment, perhaps I was parodying his comment.

You might have missed that bit though, being rather angry and desperate to reply rather quickly.

Congratulations on the area of Chelsea (which resides in greater portsmyth area) winning the world club championship. I expect the town will be full of Chelsea shirts today

Never mind, I'm sure your town will one day have a World Club Championship winner being born in your midst.

Statistically it should happen eventually, even though your town doesn't produce too many home grown players.

It’s going to be tough for Southampton to produce such a player with it being such a small area. Greater Portsmyth touches up to London and down to Plymouth and across to Eastleigh. Such a big area makes you 14k attendances a mockery when you think about it.

Soton is the 31st most populous city in the Uk, whereas Pompey is down at 40th.

Amazing to think that despite that Pompey have had attendances of around 20,000 higher than the red half of Hampshire.

How's the redevelopment of the Dump coming along? Have they started wattle and daubing the away end yet? The artist's impressions look really quaint. Not many football clubs would build a stand inspired by a Constable painting.

Hilarious again!

You state one set of current statistics (populations) and then use them in reference to statistics from the 1950's (attendances).

You're all over the f*ckin place!

How many has your town got?

He's one of your own, he's one of your own!

Well ok then, he played once a week for the academy at ages 4 & 5.

So the figures stated for AFC Pompey's halcyon years are likely to be grossly over exagerated by virtue of:

Quote:

" Pre-war attendance figures based on media estimates
and club records - both sources notoriously inaccurate ".

End quote.

Makes sense as it fits 130's line of argument

Might be old material, but the fact remains that in the modern age; many clubs have thousands of fans missing but count them even when they don't turn up. This is a fact, and there are other articles showing your club is one of the worst culprits.
