The Official Norwich City Vs Swansea City Match Thread on 21:32 - Mar 8 by trinityann | Frustration it is, second half has been like watching paint dry. I hate watching games when you know we lack the ability to score. |
But but but we had lots of possession in first half!! I am telling you all: our football is dated. The slow sideways passing model is dead now.

The Official Norwich City Vs Swansea City Match Thread on 21:37 - Mar 8 by DwightYorkeSuperstar | What was our best chance of the match? |
There were a few in the first half. Look at the shots on target stat. However, Norwich are top of the league and have only lost once all season at home so given that I think the team deserve a break. As I’ve said to you before, there’ll always be negatives and we can all dwell on them. It’s better, especially with the performance tonight, to highlight the positives. Now if we were in second and didn’t create or take the chances then that’s a different story. We’re not, we’re mid table.

VDH header, James robbing Krul nearly, James shot in first half inside the area parried by the keeper, off the top of my head.

The Official Norwich City Vs Swansea City Match Thread on 21:39 - Mar 8 by jasper_T | 2/3rds of a very good performance. Pressed and defended well against probably the best team in the division. Kept the ball well for long stretches. Could have played all night and not scored. |
That's our season in a nutshell. We're 1-2 key players from being genuine PO contenders. Unfortunately we're fragile and inexperienced and losing only 1-2 players could turn into relegation battlers too. I hope the Yanks realise this. You can only strip so much. [Post edited 8 Mar 2019 21:50]

Yes I should also add that I feel the same to go with my upset of being stuck with an NBA wannabe between the sticks. There's promise in our squad for sure.

You had an up arrow from me mate as you are spot on. How we have fallen, along with our expectations, when we are proud of a first half clean sheet against bloody Norwich. Potter and the players have done a fantastic job. We can live with any side in this division. BUT we played without a decent striker today. We even tried to save on a couple of hotel rooms by travelling with a bare minimum squad, meaning we couldn't even fill the effing bench. Jenkins effed us up completely and the Yanks carry on with gusto. Nothing to be proud of here.

The Official Norwich City Vs Swansea City Match Thread on 21:50 - Mar 8 with 1788 views | Drizzy | One of the most frustrating consequences of 7 years in the Premier League has been the acquisition of a new breed of dense, impatient and myopic supporters who can't look beyond the scoreline to form their narrative. No doubt this loss will attract this very cabal of attention-seeking "realists" who offer nothing other than the same recycled criticisms. Lots of positives to take from that performance. Our academy products are developing and improving with every game, James in particular looks excellent. We're committed to playing a possession-based game, we're just lacking the incisiveness in the final third. Unsurprising given we're still playing Dyer and Routledge who seem allergic to running in behind. Repairing this football club is going to require patience not endless criticism hinged on an unrealistic standard. We're moving in the right direction, albeit with too many backwards and sidewards steps.

Just after coming he chases the full back into the corner with ball going out, then effin fouls him! Then failed to hold anything up. Offers nothing. Give Cullen a go from the from the under 23s Tremendous effort by the team though, undone by a bit of quality. Feel more confident now we can give Man City a game

The only possesion stats I care about is the one where the ball hits the net. One stat half way through first half was we are 24th in the league for final third passes. Many times this season i have felt likeshowing the players which end they need to score at. [Post edited 8 Mar 2019 21:53]

We had as much "experience" as they did tonight. Average age of their back four younger than ours. Routledge and Dyer weak links. Their match-winner is 22 and in his second meaningful senior season.

They were far better with their movement off the ball than us in the second half. Always an easy pass on. We seemed to slow down but all in all a good performance. Why that dickhead Nordfeldt didn’t pick the ball up in injury time and just welt it I’ll never ever know. Arse.

The Official Norwich City Vs Swansea City Match Thread on 21:55 - Mar 8 with 1685 views | 3swan | We still have the problem of being too nice a team without that extra bite that's needed in matches. Too many phases without any clinical movement. Say's all about the squad when the three subs weakened the team. In saying all that we still matched them and deserved a draw.

Not biased from Tenby I'm sure. Cullen's coming along this season. Found things tough last year. Not that Carthorse Baker-Richardson was much cop either.
The Official Norwich City Vs Swansea City Match Thread on 21:55 - Mar 8 with 1681 views | jack2jack | Disappointed with the result obviously, but so many positives, and I can see improvement, in some players for sure. Dan had a very good game. Our defence apart from the goal was very good. VDH and CV, were solid. Their goal was a screamer, no stopping that, arguably could have been avoided In summary disappointed, but overall pleased with progress, need to sharpen up, and get more bodies into the box.
