Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

One of the most frustrating consequences of 7 years in the Premier League has been the acquisition of a new breed of dense, impatient and myopic supporters who can't look beyond the scoreline to form their narrative.

No doubt this loss will attract this very cabal of attention-seeking "realists" who offer nothing other than the same recycled criticisms.

Lots of positives to take from that performance. Our academy products are developing and improving with every game, James in particular looks excellent. We're committed to playing a possession-based game, we're just lacking the incisiveness in the final third. Unsurprising given we're still playing Dyer and Routledge who seem allergic to running in behind.

Repairing this football club is going to require patience not endless criticism hinged on an unrealistic standard. We're moving in the right direction, albeit with too many backwards and sidewards steps.

You sure we are moving in the right direction? The last window showed the Yanks would have sold their grannies for a few Bob.
Don't rule out our young starlets leaving in the close season with Potter expected to hold the fort with even more U23s.
The only way is down with the Yanks here imho,

Norwich won't do anything in the PL.

How on earth can you make that statement? No-one has a clue what their side will be next year. One thing for sure it won’t be the same squad that they put out tonight.

They were far better with their movement off the ball than us in the second half. Always an easy pass on. We seemed to slow down but all in all a good performance. Why that dickhead Nordfeldt didn’t pick the ball up in injury time and just welt it I’ll never ever know. Arse.

And we were better in the first. Football games always ebb and flow. What matters is you take your chance(s) when on top. We didn't, and we often haven't this season despite being on top regularly. One moment of individual quality wins the game. That was the only difference, it's that simple.

Very good performance without a cutting edge, a decent striker would have made a massive difference tonight.

Spot on, Potter said at the start of the season, it would take 2/3 transfer windows to get the right type of players in, players who fit the way he wants to play, at the right price obviously (thought I'd better throw that in), and who wants to play for the Swans, in order to do that we need to get rid of the expensive dross still on the books.

Aside from speculative efforts from outside the box and James nutmegging their left back before putting in an attrocious cross to Routlesge, what chances?

"James nutmegging their left back before putting in an attrocious cross to Routledge"

What the last ditch block tackle the Norwich defender made and the ball went for a corner??

Do you just make this sh1te up as you fvcking write??

Crazy not to have a stand by player travelled, even if only a couple of Under 23s.

What about risk of injuries in warm up???

Get out of our club...........

From SCFC2:

“Ollie was named on the bench but withdrew sick at the last minute/hour that's why we only have six on the bench. Once you have handed in your team you can't add a player to replace Ollie I believe.”

Norwich manager very complimentary about our play and kept saying we played really well.
Considering the way the squad was decimated, we are playing some good football with an average ability team. We can only put on the pitch, the players we are left with. We have to be realistic, Potter has done an excellent job, (some strange starting lineups aside) to bring performances from hitherto unfancied players . Grimes has been one that stands out. If Potter stays we’ll get better.

Great post but I don’t think patience comes into it when people are fearful of what is going to happen in the summer.
If we could hold onto everyone we want and add quality to it we could have a great chance next season, not many people currently see that happening though.

But but but we had lots of possession in first half!!

I am telling you all: our football is dated. The slow sideways passing model is dead now.

Happy to disagree with you on that one.
Nothing wrong with our passing game as the first half showed. More possession, more shots on target and more corners. We are an inexperienced side though lacking an old head to boost the ranks.
Trouble was we played without a decent striker and we had sod all on the already depleted bench.
Lack of support for Potter is our undoing as the Yanks search for every penny they can squeeze out of the club.
I fear for the close season and our future unless we oust these charlatans.

I have a vision that Baker Richardson will lead the line next season. I wish Potter would stop exposing him at this level. Carthorse in its truest sense.

Agree we have the basis of a team that with maybe three or four experienced players, we could make a go of it next season.
The big downside is I can't see it happening

We really need to get him to sign a new contract and get him to stay another season here at least.

That will be good for our on field prospects, our owners and James himself.

He could be worth a lot more than he is now with more games at this level, playing the right way, than somewhere else where he won’t be the special one.

He had two or three seconds to look up and cross it before he dribbled too close to the defender. I suppose if he had the cool head to look up and cross it right away he would have been eagerly sitting in the training ground of a Premier League club last transfer deadline day, not at Leeds United.
