So a hero departs... 19:58 - Aug 16 with 15505 views | jedmo_jack | Good luck Siggy! Without a doubt one of the best and one of my favourite players to pull on the Swans shirt in a long, long while. Been a great servant to our club.

So a hero departs... (n/t) on 20:56 - Aug 16 by jojaca | Well hopefully Leon Britton will slot a 30 yarder Saturday against United. |
Consistency doesn't mean scoring goals. Consistency means fulfilling your brief in your position or role. Scoring goals has never been the brief of a defensive midfielder, let alone Leon Britton. The playground football mentality some of our fans have is amazing at times, everything is based on goals. Freestone scored 3 for us too, doesn't mean he is a better keeper than Fabianski.

Very difficult to compare swans footballers of the past with present day swans footballers. Just as it is with any past and present sporting greats. But the pretty big chasm between Gylfi and our best, isn't quite as great as you're suggesting IMO.

Curtis. Robbie. Leighton. Jimmy. Ante. Michu. Leon. Williams. And you've moved from 'best' to 'consistent'. Plus, you did say you were fishing - make your mind up, | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Has Britton really been more consistent than Siggy, in th PL ? Yes consistency is the hall mark of greatness, Lisa. Apart from williams, none of those players have been consistent in top flight football for the Swans.

I think you will find that most swans fans would pick Leon before siggy And whilst siggy is a great player if itvwasnt for Leon we would have been relegated last season I think it's you who is the tool fella

Britton has been a great servant for the swans, a legend. But , has he even been a starter for any Swans manager since we have been a PL team ?. And when the transfer window closes and players are up to speed, expect Britton to be relegated to the bench, my friend.

Ridiculous, old chap. Yes Leon had a good end to the season, but let's not try and change history, without Siggys & Llorente goals , we'd have finished bottom.
So a hero departs... on 21:15 - Aug 16 with 1555 views | Rancid | He's the best free kick taker I've seen in a Swans kit but there's 8, 9 even 10 better footballers I've seen wear the kit. What he is, is he's the most valuable player we've ever had and that's confusing some people it seems.

Without Fabiankis hands we would not have picked up a point.

The fact is when he signed a new deal last summer as he was sold AMBITION by the board we then sold Ash and Ayew!....he was not going to make the same mistake this summer and tBH I really cant balme him. Excellent player and true team player!

Makes no difference. You keep changing your view, you said consistency yes? You have been told by a few now that Leon Britton has been more consistent than Siggy, so why on earth is it relevant where he played when he was 27? Yes Leon has started 131 Premier League games according to the website I have looked at, a handful less than Gylfi. This is also relevant how? Or did you not realise he had started 131 games?
