So a hero departs... 19:58 - Aug 16 with 15634 viewsjedmo_jack

Good luck Siggy! Without a doubt one of the best and one of my favourite players to pull on the Swans shirt in a long, long while. Been a great servant to our club.

Why do you want to wish him good luck for the future he doesn't play for us.

You don't play for us , my friend, but I'd still wish you all the best.

Laughable, he's not even the best since we reached the Premier league

Who has been consistently better than Siggy ?

Great player but I hope he flops at Everton like Spurs.

What then in one game or one season ?
Clive Allen scored I think it was 49 goals in one season for Tottenham, does that make him better than Lineker, or Kane ?

Michu was a far superior player, Gylfi has been good for us, but to elevate him to the best ever

Siggy the best ever? no IMO.

But anyone that thinks he hasn't been an absolute gem for us, either knows nowt about football, or is simply trying to prove a point in an unwinnable argument on a football forum.

No other Swans player has been more consistent than Siggy,(Williams too) in the top flight divisions. And I believe that to be an absolute fact, my friend.

So just on that account, he has to be a serious contender, for the best ever.

But I don't think anyone (or very few at least) is saying that.

There's a pretty big chasm between an absolute gem for us and our best ever player.

Leon Britton for a start.

Undoutedly a great player, will be missed.

9 goals and 13 assists last season.

Cant help but wonder though that as Gylfi took all the penalties, all the free kicks and all the corners for us that we shouldnt be that surprised he racked a fair few assists and goals. Any player who has a monopoly on set pieces like that should be pulling decent figures.

I went on a fishing expedition and knew I'd catch someone and someone who would be going on about the "good old days ".

Why can't you just show a bit of class, and wish him good luck for the future.
Been great for Swansea and now he's gone the club have some serious cash, hopefully spent on some quality replacements.
[Post edited 16 Aug 2017 20:24]

I do wish him luck.

But hero? Nah. Best ever? Nah.

One of the reasons he's looked so good for us over the past couple of seasons is we've been so awful in general.

Let's hope we begin to address that. As for Siggy. I've long had the view that once they leave us, I really don't care, other than I hope he's bloody awful when he plays against us.

How can you edit a post that just contains a smiley??

Are you genuinely saying Gylfi is a more consistent performer than Leon Britton? That could possibly be more ridiculous than your efforts yesterday, and that is saying something.

What Swans player has been more consistent than Siggy in top flight football, ( I'd except Williams)
No lower division performances, please.

Well hopefully Leon Britton will slot a 30 yarder Saturday against United.
