This season, I'd have to agree with you. We don't need to reinvent the wheel, we need to do whatever it takes to turn the 0-0s and 0-1s into 1-0s and 1-1s. Keeping it tight and bringing in a competent striker would probably be enough to see us over the line.

There's no doubt he'd be an asset for the rest of the season and it would probably help Wales out, but as others have said, he doesn't play in a position of priority. With Ki, Leon and Cork here, where would he fit in?
We need a striker (possibly 2 if Gomis is indeed off) and a creative midfielder to replace Shelvey would be nice, although possibly behind a winger in terms of need. |  |

Agree with that. I think he would get into our team easily and would be a step towards playing 'Swansea way' type football again. We have far more pressing concerns than central midfield at the moment though. | | | |

If we get the right striker to come in or Gomis somehow reverts back to the player that scored 10 goals in 11 games, then I think we've got the personnel.
A midfield of Leon/Cork, Ki and Gylfi provides plenty of playmaking potential (and goal threat) when they're on song. As always, depth behind them is a concern. | |
