Safe Standing - Rams fan at Ashton Gate event 18:17 - Feb 12 with 1155 viewsdavram

The Rams are one of the high-profile clubs supporting the FSF's "Safe Standing" campaign, which is gathering momentum now.

Most of the BBC's "expert pundits" - who are somewhat unlikely to have stood on the stadium terraces anywhere much for many years - seem to argue against, falling predictably in line with Scudamore's vision for Prem League's gentrification of football:

Bristol Rovers have announced plans to install purpose-designed "rail seats" at Ashton Gate:

It's good to know that there's an actively campaigning Rams fan on this issue, too - Nick Webster, also the "Super Rams flag man" was interviewed via phone this evening (wed 12th) from Bristol on Radio Derby's "Drivetime - sports hour".

He attended the unveiling of a Safe Standing "demonstration block" with delegates from the Football Association and Football League earlier today, and clearly has the ear of DCFC's main men now on fans' issues.

Good on yer - let's get the loyal fans up & roaring on the Rams as loudly as possible (it can get cold in those seats)!

What does the panel think?
