Charity Walk in memory of Joshua McCormack 2019

Following the success (thanks mainly to the kindness of the people on this forum) of my walk around Greater Manchester football grounds last year, tomorrow I begin a walk to Lancashire football grounds in memory of Rochdales number 55 and my nephew Joshua McCormack. This year in addition to Derian House I have chosen to support Friends of Rosie, a Manchester based charity who do vital research into childhood cancer. Last year I recieved so much support and encouragement I decided to continue this year along the same theme. If you are able to donate however big or small, all are greatly appreciated.

Charity Walk in memory of Joshua McCormack

Tomorrow I will begin a charity walk in memory of my Nephew and Rochdales Number 55.
When Joshua was diagnosed and fundraising began for him, (for which the club and fans were heavily involved) I promised that even after he'd gone I would continue to raise money in his name. Nothing worthwhile is easy, so please read and donate if you can. The page is open until 15th November, so even if you can't donate over the next few days whilst I'm doing the walk, you can do it at a later date.

For all the times we've complained that the club has no interest in the fans, this is an absolutely brilliant example that Rochdale is still a family club. This restores your faith that our players don't just live in their own bubble and have no interest in the community that surrounds them.

The much wheeled out cliche "these things even themselves over the season" came into play tonight. Much as against Dagenham, tonight the team that ended the match with 11 players would, in all likelihood not have gained a point were it not for the extra man advantage.
