Sunderland have approached Swansea in an attempt to sign striker Andre Ayew, according to Sky sources. However, it is our understanding that the Swans are keen to keep hold of the Ghana international, who only moved to the Liberty Stadium from Marseille in June. |

| Forum Thread | Paying Fair ? at 17:52 12 Feb 2015
Premier League football clubs have just got a ‘windfall’ that means they’ll receive £5.4 billion from TV deals. But whilst their top stars get millions, they’re still refusing to pay their ground staff a living wage! If enough of us get involved, we can change that. After a big public campaign, Chelsea FC has agreed to pay their lowest paid staff enough to cover basics like rent and food. Big petitions to the bosses of the other clubs could force them to follow suit. There’s one petition per Premier League club. You can pick any, whether it's the club you support, or the one you live closest to and add your name to the petition: http://secure.38degrees.org.uk/living-wage-football-petition How can it be right that in an industry where top stars like Wayne Rooney make £300,000 a week, the people selling the tickets or preparing the pitch may be left struggling to pay the rent and put food on the table? When an employer agrees to pay a living wage, it makes a huge difference to families struggling to get by. And more and more employers are doing it - thanks to customers and employees working together to push for a fair deal for all staff. Football is an industry of huge inequality. But it relies on the support of millions of ordinary people. So it's a great opportunity to pile on the pressure and give low wages the red card - click below to add your name now: http://secure.38degrees.org.uk/living-wage-football-petition |

| Forum Thread | Squad size at 07:37 25 Jul 2014
What squad size do you think we should have this season ? I believe the PL rules are up to 25 with as many under 21s in addition. The squad must have at least 8 'home grown' players - those from the British Isles born and bred or those who have been affiliated to one of the home nations for at least 3 years before they are 21. So for example Donnelly and Poz were freebies in the squad last year and Laudrup wanted a squad of 22/23 plus under 21s. Donnelly is 22 now so should he be in the squad as third striker or loaned out ? Fulton and Kingsley are freebies as they are under 21 and also serve as home grown. I think there are a few key areas to cover yet as in signings (JDG, RB, CDM, RW) Be interested to know your thoughts. |

25 Tremmel 04 Chico 06 Williams 22 Rangel 33 Davies 07 Britton 09 Michu 12 Dyer 20 De Guzman (Tiendalli - 74' ) 24 Ki Sung-Yeung 17 Shechter (Moore - 67' ) A tactically well won game, soaked up the pressure and hit them in the last 2 mins. Clean sheets mean at least 1 point. |
| Forum Thread | Everton - can we get something ? at 14:14 18 Mar 2014
We played a good tactical game against them Jan 2013, admittedly Moyes & ML were in charge then, but a great 0-0 draw for us Recently Cardiff (2-1), West Ham (1-0) and Villa (2-1) have come close to getting something, with Everton's winners all coming late on. I would play as defensively as possible first half and flood the midfield and try and catch them on the break. I would play Taylor at RB and Bartley alongside Ash if fit. He was solid when he played last time. I would start with Michu as a false 9 and get him to run like feck for the first half, they will be expecting to mark Bony who is more static. Play possession football to frustrate them. If we hold them first half then I would be more offensive maybe after 60 mins and bring on Bony to tie up their central defenders and Pablo on for Shelvey. Vorm Taylor Bartley (Amat) Ash Ben Leon Shelvey De Guzman Dyer Michu Routs on the other hand what the feck do I know !! |
