January Transfer Thread 13:27 - Dec 23 with 63037 views | KeithHaynes | Done some asking and Oli McBurnie is most certainly up for a loan back to the UK this window. I’ve been told four Championship clubs are interested. This will all fall on the fee’s involved plus he is on in the region of €36,000 a week. Big numbers but we know how these things can be negotiated. Do we have the money ? Yes. P&S will need to be positive and only the club really know where we are with that at this moment in time, It won’t be massively healthy. Oli has played fourteen games for Las Palmas this season with no return. He has never been a prolific striker, but could he settle into Luke’s team ?

The centre-back is at the top of Swansea's January wishlist, and has already been the subject of two bids in recent weeks. However, the Swans have not yet been able to find a breakthrough in negotiations. Source: WOL [Post edited 15 Jan 13:31]

January Transfer Thread on 15:41 - Jan 15 with 2384 views | union_jack | I know this has been raised multiple times but I’ll ask again. How on earth are that lot in a position to spend £3m on a striker who is about to have a medical. Are they nowhere near FFP / P&S limits (I’d have thought they would be) or are they happy to flout it in the hope they’ll get enough points to avoid the drop? They are high in the list of wages as well. Something is not right.

I doubt if the player would be Fulton, Pedersen, or Yates due to their wages probably not fitting Wycombe's wage structure. Tjoe-a-on would be a good one for the makeweight.

Yes. Went on injured list on 18 Dec. I think he's been on the injured list most of this season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I don't understand this either. Can anyone explain ? It applies to many other clubs as well. I thought Hull were in the brown stuff moneywise but someone said they are fighting Burnley trying to buy Morgan Whittaker.

There is an old article on the BBC can't post the link sorry. But it shows losses for Cardiff City of. 29 million 20/21 18 million 21/22 11 million 22/23 That's 58 million approx over 3 years the maximum allowed is 41.5 million So how that works I have no idea.

So, say for instance, we upgraded our academy again, at a cost of £15m…we could offset that and have an extra £15m to spend on players?

A strange type of logic. Having said that this logic probably has a name in accountancy. [Post edited 15 Jan 22:41]

The whole thing is a toothless waste of time. If you are going for promotion then would you care if you broke the rules? By the time you declare it then youre up and they can't touch you until your relegated. At which time you've got parachute money in the bank. If you're headed for the drop and spend big on someone who then bangs in 10-15, they have more than earned their 3 point deduction they cost you. The whole thing causes more damage than it does any good. Man City have over 100 cases against them, they don't really care
