FIFA World Cup thread. 12:02 - Nov 15 with 133473 views | Snipper | I’m trying to get excited about this World Cup, but to no avail :-((. I’ve just watched Sky Sports World Cup preview with Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp, Jamie Carragher & Karen Carney. Utterly depressing viewing. Same old, same old. Picking players for the starting XI not playing for their clubs, or totally off form. I’m hoping this thread can get the juices flowing. Do any of you think England have a chance?

FIFA World Cup thread. on 20:33 - Nov 25 with 1752 views | CamberleyR | Get Foden on for the invisible man. I've heard Grealish's name more in the five minutes or so he's been on than his in the second half. [Post edited 25 Nov 2022 20:34]

FIFA World Cup thread. on 20:33 - Nov 25 with 1751 views | BklynRanger | Can see the logic of Henderson - there's no presence at all in the middle. And I thought Saka had been shyte with his distribution up till that point and deserved to go off more than Sterling. Think the storm has been weathered anyway. Kane will shin one in eventually.

FIFA World Cup thread. on 20:41 - Nov 25 with 1659 views | R_from_afar | It's exciting, though. Maybe too exciting It feels to me like this is set up for one of those traditional England situations in which someone misses a sitter or makes a horrendous error, then is singled out and mercilessly pilloried as the source of all our woes. I hope I'm wrong.

FIFA World Cup thread. on 20:48 - Nov 25 with 1595 views | Drewster | I know nothing about tactics, but it appears to me that the USA have a game plan and we seem to just be reacting to whatever is happening in front of us?

FIFA World Cup thread. on 20:53 - Nov 25 with 1562 views | Paddyhoops | Wales stunk the place out today. England trying to emulate them! Watching them trying to break down a defence marshalled by Championship titan Tim Ream is painful. They’re better than this.
FIFA World Cup thread. on 20:54 - Nov 25 with 1527 views | paulparker | Southgate needs a hundred lashes then another hundred lashes for not only starting mount but keeping him on
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Hopefully Southgate will walk after this tournament. Get a coach that realises our strength is going forward. He creates the tempo of the team and to be quite frank watching England is dull.

FIFA World Cup thread. on 21:01 - Nov 25 with 2488 views | ManinBlack | That was rubbish still can't beat the USA in a world Cup. Rather like the second group game borefest against Scotland in the Euros. At least we will now have to make a bit of effort against Wales to make sure we get through.
