Knowledgeable yes though something tells me the crucial ingredient in Cooper's experience went almost unnoticed. I agree we will struggle to get promoted with youth however it is a strategy the board has embarked upom and may see us outlive the clubs who are in administration and other such as Stoke who have gambled on a different commercial approach. |  | | |

Read a few articles on him. Is his name Akande? Googled Adrian Akinde and nothing came up.
Loads of big clubs looked at him but has been without a club for year which seems strange to me. But definitely worth a punt. |  |

Sure I seen that they were asking for us to lower the price, we only payed 500K so I can't imagine our asking price even being high.
But he needs a run of games, think he's been treated poorly here.
Everytime I saw him play he looked positive and wanted to run at goal, I know he made a few dreadful errors but with game time you would think he will learn and come better, especially with Dyer, Ayew, Routledge all leaving in the summer, we will probably need him and Asoro as wingers. Let's not pretend that you didn't come to agree with my criticisms of Potter in the first half of last season. Had he stopped tinkering sooner we could have made the playoffs. Aside from his choice of keeper I was as complimentary as anyone on here from January onwards.
Byers hasn't quite hit the heights I'd hoped but he's done well in becoming a first team regular, especially compared to forums favourites in that time period like Yan Dhanda and Joel Asoro. Cian Harries a better stick to beat me with if you're looking for one.
Kai Ludvigsen is a good prospect, centre half who played u18s when he was still 14 (maybe just turned 15). Josh Edwards had a few apps for the u23s right before the corona ended their season, technically pretty sharp. Harry Jones is a Wales-qualified right back.
Not many surprises in there, though I'm not sure what the short term extensions to Evans, Jones-Thomas and Williams mean. Not as if they have games to play afaik. Would be disappointed if the latter especially is released. | | | |
