On the subject of Rathbone, Martin on commentary responded to a Twitter question asking if he's really injured or it's just a cover up.
Strongly denied any cover up and said he picked up a knock in training yesterday during a crossing drill. Read into that what you will! |

I think the switch was more down to Baah struggling against their right-back. He had more joy when switched against their left-back.
Good game today, and either side could’ve scored more goals. Of the four times we’ve played Bolton this season that’s definitely the best they’ve played, but we were still better. Hamilton was the best player in their team. It makes such a difference to have a top quality keeper like Sanchez for some of the saves he made when they were on top in the second half.
Matheson continues to be outstanding. Only a fortnight or so a go he was badly in need of a rest. I think he had about two games out of the side and he’s come back flying again. Brilliant goal. Ryan was again excellent too, and O’Connell was O’Colossal. |  | | |

Why is the board a joke for not wanting to offer a player who's spent more games injured for us than actually played? I'd rather spend the wage on someone who's going to at least have the chance to play the rest of the season.

In all my years as a dale fan I have never seen anything as exciting as Matherson. This young man is absolutely brilliant and I am so glad I am able to watch him at Rochdale. Proper Lancashire derby in a proper downpour
We rode our luck at times with them hitting the woodwork twice, one a deflected shot whereas Ryan's shot went in. Didn't think there was much between the sides tbh, but we just edged it and can head up the A1 in good cheer
Matheson outstanding, he just sees things so quickly including the opportunity that he made for himself with the goal and finished with aplomb. Ryan another excellent performance, this lad is growing into a real player now and needed more than ever with the likely loss of Rathbone. O'Connell hasn't lost anything moving to the left (being two-footed helps) whilst MJW hasn't done badly either
Clean sheet for once, and a tenacity in that showing that's been missing at times this season. If we can strengthen the squad (despite Rathbone) we should be fine. And... for me, Tavares is ahead of Baah in terms of contribution to the team. I'd like to see him starting with Baah coming on later
Finally, a warm welcome back for COG, and reciprocated by the Bolton fans when Alby went off

I agree with you about McShane. We can't afford large chunks of our budget sat in the stands. They were poor in the first half and we huffed and puffed without greeting much. Great goal by Luke.
They played much better in the second half and Hamilton gained a bit of control in midfield. We rode our look at times but Henderson and Camps missed good chances. O'Connell qas excellent and Matheson look a real threat going forward. I also thought Tavares put in a decent shift when he came on.
Bolton had loads of massive players, although one of their centre half's was a carthorse. |  | | |

It would be a good move for him. A good club who managed to turn Bradley Dack from overweight overrated League One midfielder to one of the best players in The Championship. And, of course, his dad played for them for a good length of time too. | | | |
