I find this thread so depressing and the constant push from the right wing nuts that have bought in to the Murdoch and other press propaganda (no conflict of interest their gov.!) to strip the license fee and break up the institution. Yeah they get some things wrong, yes the news and politics has been stuffed with Tories for the last decade but seriously from local radio and news (which the "press" has now abandoned) to drama, comedy, kids tv, global news, sports coverage, music etc £150 a year against £516 for bare bones Sky (who are still charging £108 per year just for the privilege of HD in 2023! Weren't the 'crown jewels' of British TV hived off to 'BBCStudios' ? Apparently this is the company that deals with the 'extra's' that Some of the 'big' stars get.
I dont think that the BBC owns some of the great comedy shows anymore, but BBC Studios (not the BBC) own them.
Please correct me if i'm wrong, i'm fascinated. |  |

I have a TV licence on SO £159.00 per Year.
When we bought this new house we purchased a brand new TV that Is called a Samsung Frame. I have built it into the wall as It's meant to look like a picture frame. (It doesn't).
My house and my Samsung bloody frame are now three years old and we've probably turned the stupid Samsung bloody frame thing on about Twenty times In total, the last time was a few weeks ago when Mrs Ted wanted to watch Strictly the results, I was In the other room and I could hear what my Samsung bloody frame was vomiting in the general direction of Wantage and Mrs Ted and that vomit was two Woman pretending to be excited about two blokes dancing with each other for some strange reason called a dance off?? It was at this point that I decided that for the sanity of Mrs Ted (and me) the Samsung bloody frame thing should be switched off for the rest of our lives.
I'm soon gonna start reading ''Spare'' the book written by that Harry bloke (the one that used to be a Prince) not that I'm a Royalist or some such because I most certainly aint, I'm reading It because I hope he says something mildly interesting about his big brother Bill (the boring crawly bum lick bald one, you know the one, he's married to that boring bone Idle Woman Catherine of Aragon) What I find weird Is them there Royal people peeps all look the bloody same to me.
