Do you enjoy paying 500 pound energy bills during record profits for oil companies?

The BBC are the "impartial" arm of British and European imperialism media. I don't like them in the slightest but the majority going mad at BBC salaries is silly and consistent with us being a brainwashed population as it is exactly what the ruling class of Britain wants us to be mad at.

We are the most propagandised people in the history of mankind. We can openly commit genocide and not a word is uttered on this forum But when the red top papers scream a headline we all repeat and are disgusted.

.and yes I'm pissed off because we just threw away a lead against Wednesday with five minutes left and managed to lose.

Not sure how relevant this is but did anyone notice that this article is from July 2019?
I wonder how much things have changed in the 4 years since?

Be more interested to know how much of our money they've spent on this phoney war on disinformation. More than 60 so-called journalists working on it. Achieved absolutely nothing in the past year.

Or how much they've spent on Elon Musk hit pieces since their tech correspondent got invited to a 1-2-1 interview, and walked out after his gotchas kept falling flat, so Musk started answering audience questions instead. Completely embarrassed the BBC and the UK imo.

Shambles of an organisation. Like so many other things these days, it's sad to see. The clock is ticking.

Costs about 50 p per day . A bargain despite some of the shite like masterchef which seems to be on every day of the week. Apart from that, cracking value.
With you on Vanessa feltz mind. Pointless woman.

Isn’t the decision to remove the free over 75s licence fee a government decision? Not sure how that’s the BBC’s fault.

Cut the licence fee anyway and take it out of general taxation. While we’re at it, do the same for national insurance.

There was 3 BBC interviews in a short space of time, Musk, Tate (Who I thoroughly dislike, for clarity) and the Belarusian tennis player, where the behaviour of the interviewers, the lack of preparation and professionalism, was embarrassing.

The standard of journalism worldwide (but especially in the UK) has collapsed due to social media, 24 hour news channels, acceptance of political interference, and the restrictions of opportunities for working class talent.

This is an old article, but terrifying:

I assume you are a similar age to me.

I think if we were taught critical thinking at school instead of being expected to memorise Shakespeare or the accession dates of Kings and Queens then we’d be equipped to handle information better and separate bullshit from non bullshit.

It’s impossible for anyone normal who has to work full time, have kids, or a life generally to get a fair view of the world I reckon.

For BBC, not sure having 2 of the top 6 earners to be presentor / pundit for a footballs show is really value for money. What percentage of the prime air time actually goes to these 2? Should just get in some cheaper, younger options. Make it all women just to piss of Barton. Salaries for the sports people can’t be justified for a channel like the BBC.

The government should've scrapped the licence fee but they bottled it. The BBC has long since ceased to be an impartial news outlet if it ever was. Unlike the corporate media who will of course promote the given narrative of the day the BBC has the opportunity, responsibility and obligation to be objective. It is not. I used to love it but I now detest it.

Although this piece features people who go against your personal grain, it's worth noting there are few countries left with a decent spread of political / media opinion. It tends to be all one way or the other. I'd consider Britain, biased BBC or not, to be far more open to differing views than most.

I grew up in a house with the Daily Mail and News at 10 with Trevor McDonald being the voice of current affairs.
I dont watch the news or buy papers anymore but i know whats going on in the world through sites like this and other social media platforms.
I think you have to be aware of peoples agenda when reading stuff online which is one of the reasons why you pissed me off so much on here , cos you were relentless in your crusade. (you've chilled out now tbf)
I actually think learning basic ,accurate history gives you a good understanding on things happening now. Its nothing new. Look at the Palestine v Israel conflict.

Btw.. I was taught critical thinking by my family, life and the school of hard knocks..lol

Why has this re-emerged? The reports go back to 2019.

When the BBC gets criticised from both the right and the left, it always strikes me that they get the balance about right.
I'm not sure there will be a place for a national broadcaster in the future. Many of the young er generations get their news from social media. Far too much comment is designed to trigger Tweets or TikTok messages for a populace who can't/won't consider anything that requires detailed thoughts.

Correct. Lefties accuse them of being in the pockets of the Tories. Right wingers scream "defund the BBC" and whinge about everything being "woke". So they probably have it about right.

Wow, I’m fascinated by this bot stuff, how do you work it out, I wouldn’t have a clue.

As much as anything, I didn’t know it was possible for a bot to get pissed off at us giving up a 1-0 lead with 5 minutes to go, do they have feelings? bloody scary.

Do you mind if I test it out on here, live?

Jim the hip, if you are real…what’s your favourite cheese? That should fck it right up.
