Not many know the truth about what happened - but many want to speak about it
I was not happy about Grant playing up to get an advantage. I was even less happy when he continued to wink towards me - apparently thinking this is what I had paid to see. I explained I did not like it and he continued to wink and appeared to encourage some of the other Rochdale fans to take it on themselves to have a go at me.
I was thrown to the floor and taken by yellowcoats away. I was not happy about this (I had not done anything) and forced away. Following assessment for head injury, and a cup of tea, I was taken back into the arena (I asked to be escorted back as I had been attacked earlier).
If people want to claim otherwise so be it.

The Football League Show doesn't show Grant being decked but shows the ref having no hesitation but to wave a red card at Midson.

Having seen the penalty incident on tv that led to the grant incident , all I can say is somtimes you get them and sometimes you dont (see welbeck and suarez yesterday). The wimbledon player was certainly already going down expecting contact to be made. As for not wanting to be part of a dale team cheating? As has already been mentioned weve had it for years at dale - whitehall, murray, alf and buckley certainly needed no encouragement to go down in the box. |
Never mind years - there are those of us who recall Billy Rudd "winning" some of the penalties that got us promoted back in '69!
If Ricardo had been watching then (he may have been, I don't know him!) he'd have been an exceptional youngster to morally disapprove! |  |

this whole "dont want anythin to do with a Dale side that dives" is ridiculous, grow up, every player at every level will do it when given the opportunity. As has been said we've had our fair share even in the past 6 years, alfie the worst culprit, we're no different to any other team in that respect. |  |

Although I do not condone cheating it goes on in every game every Saturday. The problem is some players are honest and others not so. If Grant went down easily I think that will balance out with players who take all sorts of physical abuse yet remain upright. Although a cliche it will balance out over the season. |  |

The bottom line in the whole incident is that the Wimbledon player took a swing at Grant and was seen by the referee.
Whether Grant went down too easily and made a meal of it still doesn't change what the Don did, as backed up by his own manager. |  |

The whole bloody thing was quite surreal. I saw the incident with the penalty/freekick and still think the initial contact was outside the box and then their lad fell inside it. Then I saw a coming together between Midson and Grant and then Grant laying on the ground. Then heard a lot of shouting and then all of a sudden Ricardo was being seen to by Police and St Johns.
Very weird but not surprising that it was him involved really. |  |
