Ideally we should be playing Morrison and you can get away with that to a point. I assume as long as we are in with a shout of playoffs there will be a rationale of playing the strongest team irrespective of whether they are ours

I’m a hypocrite, because the Austin / Johanson signings put us so far back financially the last time we had a tilt at the playoffs and I was the first to criticise.
But I assume this is cheaper, and (on last nights viewing) he a bit special isn’t he?
Minute we are out of the chase, and definitely at the start of next season we need to go back to the rule.

I wonder if in hindsight they rushed Morrison back a bit too soon last time and they're being a bit more cautious this time?

Nourry and others have made the point over the past few months that one of their learnings from the first half of the season was when they were unlucky with contact injuries (you may not agree they were unlucky, but let's go with it for now...) they then exacerbated the situation by rushing those players back (JCS at Burnley) which then caused a whole glut of muscle injuries.
That may just be an excuse to cover up why their super duper Dubai-based "performance team" is suddenly overseeing a glut of muscle injuries, but if we take them at their word they're probably trying to be more careful with the likes of Morrison and our squad, unfortunately, requires loans to cover that. In time you'd hope there's 5-6 Morgan types in the development squad to slide in there.
I can see why they did Edwards. Cook and Morrison looked long term at that point.
The South Korean I'm less sure of the purpose. It's the position in the field we've got the most cover in. Rayan Kolli should not be an unused sub while he's getting minutes, sorry it just shouldn't be happening.

RE: Yang
If Smyth went down with an injury I don't think it's as easy to replace as you may think. Saito is more natural on the left, Dembele more natural in the middle. Sure you could shoe horn a Kolli or Lloyd but again not natural at all.
Our squad has really lacked in an important attribute in the past which is pace and I think the lad has that. I don't think it's a bad signing for depth.
I do agree that Kolli will need more minutes at some point but I'm sure that will come.

Preseason/postseason tour of Gangnam you say ?
No doubt there is money in untapped markets and social media too.
When you see some of the numbers for the videos, I guess it’s safe to assume there’s money driving the loan - for someone. Maybe it’s a way to balance the books differently.
Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

I dont think this is about money this is about having first dibs in the summer from the Spurs puppy farm. This is about having something in the bank with our relationship. Warburton explained this in an interview recently (might have been Hoopsa's) that sometimes you take a loan now at no cost to get the next one.

I’ve heard it’s a pretty stylish place.

I mean our whole back four is out of contract this summer as it stands so they’ve got a lot on but certainly a recruitment priority this summer is PACE!
They haven’t had it properly since BOS. It says something that in this land of the bald Paul Smyth has three hairs.

Might have been said on the four pages here, but consider the situation where QPR accidentally get promoted via the payoffs and Southampton inevitably get relegated. It could be an obvious move for Edwards to QPR.
I also wonder whether we could see a fully fit Clarke-Salter for a season as he might quite like playing a full season in the comfort of the premier league.
Edwards + Clarke-Salter in the premier league could maybe cut it for a 4th bottom QPR.

The words "fully fit" and "Clarke-Salter" have no place together in the Englush Language...

The way I look at that is, when we had Kyle Walker on loan, there's no way you would have played Bradley Orr ahead of him.
Different stage of his career to Liam I know, and I do think Morrison could be a great player for us. So I do accept the development aspect.
But Orr was a decent player, whereas Walker was just farcically above Championship level. Edwards verged on looking like that last night at times I thought.
Decent comparison. Walker, on loan with us, was so obviously head and shoulders above any other RB in the league. So no surprise for his subsequent achievements. Edwards could easily go the same way.
