Thread | Alan Mcdonald Air Asia Plane

I was at Singapore Changhi airport today when I saw the Alan Mcdonald Air Asia plane take off. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the plane in the club's livery roar down the runway and soar into the sky. I can honestly say it brought a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat. Macca would have been proud.

Thread | A few obsevations from the game at Yeovil

1. This was the most awkward ground I have ever had to get to and from and I live in bloody Devon. Hardly any public transport to or from the major railway station serving the town centre and one tiny little bus from the town centre to near (not to) the football ground. I think getting to Bury on a Tuesday night would have been easier. No taxis to get me from the town centre to Yeovil Junction after the game as there was only one bus an hour and so had to take the walk of death through a jungle to the station. I went to sleep that night with the noise of cars skidding as they spotted me just in time coming round the bends ringing in my ears.
2. Who were the morons throwing flares onto the pitch? What a bunch of tossers. This does the club no good and caused un needed agro. Everyone had been well behaved and were having a good day out until then.
3. Green, Hill and Dunne played out of their skins in defence. Traore at times looked class-maybe he had something to prove.
4. The whole team/squad looked up for it. Jenas very competitive in midfield was an unsung hero yesterday.
5. We will play much better than this this season and lose and so grinding out results like this is what is needed in this league.

I am going to Asia in November for a few months and would be grateful for some travel advice regards the Philipphines. Is Dumaguete City and Cebu safe? I would apreciate it if someone who has been there could give me some feed back.
I am an experienced traveller and have been to my fair share of dodgy places but I am just a bit unsure of the Philipphines as I keep on hearing conflicting stories.
The FCO says beware but if we all took there advice we would never fy anywhere. |

there seems to be something odd going on with mcafee worldwide. I cant get online with it to get the latest updates and i am reading about there being a problem with an update done last week. Anyone else haveing problems with it or can suggest a solution? |

Now that the jubilee celebrations have quietened down a bit I have been reflecting on the whole occasion and have come to the following conclusion. I dont think the Queen really likes us or gives a toss about any off us commoners. The only time you see her smiling is when there is a horse in view, preferbly on a race course when she is surrounded by like minded people or when she is staring up the arse of one on horse guards parade.
She belts out the annual Christmas message and that is about the only time she addresses us directly. I feel that we get a bit of revenge when we make her sit through the Royal Variety perfermance every year.

so that could be 42 points on top of the 16 we already have which makes 58 points and mid table security a reallity. so maybe we dont win all those games, but if we win 8 of those 14 games that would give us 40 points and get the odd draw at Highbury or Old Trafford then we could be happy bunnies come the end of the season. |
