Still basking in today's win and noticed there was an FA Cup semi final going on today. Growing up in the 80s and early 90s, semi final day was THE best day of the season. Seeing neutral stadiums like Old Trafford, Villa Park, Hillsborough, Maine Road, Highbury, full of opposing fans, packed terraces, unbelievable drama and atmosphere. Who could forget one of the most dramatic days in English football when Palace beat Liverpool 4-3 and then later in the day Oldham drew 3-3 with Man Utd.
Today? I didn't even know it was on. Sad that such a meaningful day in English football has been reduced to not even being aware. Obviously switching to Wembley for the semis is a major factor (terrible for the FA Cup) and the money in modern football.

Warnock was interviewed at half time of the Reading game this season and was asked which was the better team, this one or his promotion winning side? Yes, that question was asked in all seriousness! |

Losing game after game and yet still clinging on to the top 6.
Just noticed if Coventry beat us and win their two games in hand, they go 4 points above us. What a turnaround by them. Goes to show, the early season table really does mean very little. |

I received a horrified look from my mate's 16 year old son when I raised the question of who is a better player (obviously Eze, he said). Right now I'd take Willock but maybe I'm forgetting how good Eze was. Did he score as many and raise the level of the team as much as Chris though?
Watching his progress from a fairly lightweight arrival lacking in confidence to now, a bulked up man running the show in the most important position on the pitch, is such a joy.
I guess we have Adel to thank for him.
