+1 should be the CB back pairing for the next 5 years. This guy has all the attributes of a younger, potentially better Clint Hill and that guy was a bloody good defender on his day. |

We go on about the "right sort" and players wanting to play for the shirt. Tell you what I got a buzz watching Niko's interview. He looks lean, speaks intelligently, talks about the play-off final like I do as a fan and sounded like he has genuinely caught the bug. Also speaks really highly of the character of Sandro which bodes well. I'll take no striker if the attitude and application of these two are spot on! |
| Forum Thread | EDS v Arlesey at 02:43 3 Aug 2014
I left on 70 mins at 4-0 and it may have been that we scored more, I cant actually find the score online but I may not have looked hard enough. GK - Lennox: Looked iffy under the high ball but distribution wasn't bad. Nothing to suggest he'll make it. RB - Furlong: I personally was very impressed. Won headers he should not have, knew when to get forward and not to and made some very good tackles. Decent goal LB - Kpekawa: Again, very impressed. Struggled a bit in 2nd half as they doubled up on him but clearly knew when to try to break the line and when not to. Excellent finish too. Real quality goal from full back. Armand would have been proud. CB - Wise: First 10 minutes he looked like a pub player, very good long ball but poor in the air. Got better and the penalty they missed was actually an outstanding tackle. Subbed at H/T. CB - Sendles-White: Looked excellent in first 20 minutes but then got the impression he was too lax with the long ball and actually allowed 3-4 chances. Not as good as I thought. CM - Ehmer: Looks like and acts like Taarabt. Far too good for this level apparently although there is substance. He was very composed and done extremely well, I only saw him give the ball away once. Too much attitude though which doesn't bode well. CM - Mitchell - Hate to slate a youngster but wouldn't have shined in Arlesey's team. Very, very poor RW - Comley - Actually thought he had some promise, needs to make better decisions and get a more clinical shot but very hard-working and tracked back excellently. LW - Frankie Sutherland - Absolute cut above anything else on the park. His goal reminded me immediately of Rooney and he came off his wing searching for the ball trying to make things happen. Deceptively pacy. GET HIM IN THE SQUAD. ACM - Doughty - Big, strong, some moments of quality but flattered to deceive. Will make it as a footballer, but league 1 at best. Gave the ball away too much and looked a bit unfit. ST - ??? - The announcer struggled and so did I. Did not get his name, scored a penalty which was saved but crept in, moved a lot and had one or two decent moments but no great shakes. Subs: Donaldson: Looked far superior positionally and in the air than anything else. By far. Very slow though. No. 14 - Don't know his name, came on for the awful Mitchell. Equally as small but much better because he had awareness and quick feet. Decent work out and clearly much better than the opponents but I'd only tip Sutherland (who is quality), Ehmer, Donaldson and maybe the two full-backs to possibly make it pro. EDIT: Mentioned it but If they put highlights on the website you must watch Frankie's goal. Outstanding chip from the edge of the area! [Post edited 3 Aug 2014 2:46]

| Forum Thread | Name and reputation at 14:44 23 Jul 2013
Our club have been embarrassed in the past couple of years due to arrogance and the signing of 'big name' players with 'big reputations' on 'big money'. I remember exactly the mood before our promotion season when we had Palace, Plymouth, Bristol City & Sheff Utd fans on here slating our signings and telling us we were signing dirge like Derry, Hill, Kenny, Mackie & Orr. And QPR fans weren't only listening, they were agreeing and having a pop at Warnock and the boards for bringing in no-marks. When will we learn? Players do not perform based on technical skills and fitness alone. They are (although massively over-privilidged) human beings who need the correct preparation, support structure, work/life balance just like the rest of us. They also need to integrate into a team mentality by working hard, being played with the correct players to compliment their style, being trained properly and effectively by people who will dedicate their time to getting them to perform. Its a very delicate balance and it doesnt always work out, even for the most talented players. I can guarantee that if QPR fans were given the chance to swap the players I have mentioned above for 'bigger names' at the time about 80% would have done so, and I wonder where we would have been then. So whether we sign Thierry Henry, Karl Henry, Gary Hooper or Brett bloody Angell, lets just accept the signing and judge them on performance alone 15-20 games in? Price tag and past performance be damned! |

Absolutely fantastic football player. I really hope football does not ruin him as it has so many other young players. |
| Forum Thread | Trying so hard to take this well ... at 18:41 7 Apr 2013
... But am I the only one who wanted to break the tv when they saw cesar & di santo literally seconds after the final whistle? Made me absolutely switch. The faces of Townsend, onuoha & hill were what I needed. Them as heartbroken as me. That's all I need. We'll be back one day, I can deal with the CCC. I can't deal with being disrespected by people who don't care. I really don't see any care in cesar , bosingwa, samba, hoilett, even Zamora. Better team v villa, bosingwa & cesar mug us off. Samba & to an extend hill (although effort can be differentiated) ensure we get nothing at Fulham. Mbia & Zamora today. How do you get back on that training ground on Monday for 2 pissing hours with them? |
| Forum Thread | Aylesbury friendly at 09:09 28 May 2012
Were are going to be taking an XI team to Aylesbury on 31st July apparantly. Decent place, fairly local. We'll turn out there if the suns out! |
| Forum Thread | Today's game at 17:50 7 Jan 2012
DJ Campbell is not a particularly good player, but Is made to look even worse when played as a target man! Macheda has a lot of talent and did a lot well. Extremely unfit though. Was absolutely puffing 2nd half. Fitz Hall not bad, Gabbidon is a mid CCC defender at best. I love Warnock to bits but there were at least 7 players hindered by the roles they were asked to play. Completely nullified our attacking threat. Individual errors (Heider today, SWP v Arsenal, Joey v Mancs etc etc) are costing us very dearly.Heider got a stroke of luck in return today, long may it continue. |

Latest tweets going out of his way to wish death on Essex lot. I'd rather scratch my eyes out than watch that non-entertainment but he's bang outta line. Gonna get himself in hot water big time I reckon |
| Forum Thread | Bothroyd & Naughton at 16:57 12 Jul 2011
I genuinely have never ever spread a rumour, but I have heard through a spot on Spurs source that Bothroyd is done (pretty standard knowledge), and as of today, Kyle Naughton is extremely likely to join although a decision on whether its a year long loan deal or permanent hasn't been made yet. This guy called both Walker loan deals last year (us and Villa) before they happened) Heres hoping!!! [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Just started listening to this regularly. I'm tied between it being absolute amateur nonsense and actually being an interesting listen. I used to listen to 5Live most days, and enjoyed the variation but was looking for a bit more sport specific stuff during the daytime. These guys literally seem to sit in pairs, decide what the topic is, decide who will take which side, and then go at it with some shocking arguments all day. Occasionally this can be entertaining, and I particularly enjoy Alan Brazil and Darren Gough, but I am finding myself getting seriously wound up by Adrian Durham. Absolute to$$er of the highest order. Always slating callers for expressing what is usually a much more informed and conservative view than his own. Am I the only one? [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

You think the officials are bad in the Championship? Never seen linesmen like it. Almost every throw on is flagged to the wrong team. Clearly clueless |

Anyone reckon this is going to go tits up? They didn't announce the deals till nigh on 7pm, theyve had all day to get the medicals & paperwork done as it appears no one else was in the frame for either player. I think the wording (agreed a deal rather than signed) is worrying, however the fact they announced it leaves me hopeful. |
