| Forum Thread | Swansea Senior League Team at 15:15 28 Feb 2023
I posted on the other site thought I’d ask on here as well. Wondering if anybody could help me or just give me some advice. I’m interested in entering a team in to the Swansea League, if not next season then the season after that, as once I’ve recovered from a spinal surgery I am due within the next few months, I am hoping to start my coaching badges. It is something I’m committed to doing, but have absolutely no clue on how to go about it, that includes finding a home pitch, getting a kit etc etc so if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated, if it’s something someone would like to get more involved with then I’d be more than happy to have people on board. |

Thought I’d ask in advance as I know they’re like gold dust, but if anyone isn’t planning on doing Cardiff away and can get me 2 tickets, i would very much appreciate it. Edit: obviously will pay full price and Chuck you a drink on top as well. [Post edited 3 Mar 2022 14:10]

I’ve seen some mad one’s over the years, flat earth etc, but I just saw someone on my Facebook saying (seriously) that no planes hit the twin towers on 9/11. Not only is it utter rubbish, but how disrespectful for those who died that day. Whether it was who we believe it was or it was an inside job is another story, but how can you deny what happened when millions of people around the world witnessed it with our own eyes? which leads me to my next question, what is the most bizarre conspiracy theory you’ve ever heard? 2 shocking teams. Even at our worst, I don’t think we’ve played as bad as these 2 all season. |

| Forum Thread | Charity Match Vs Swansea City legends at 12:41 10 Nov 2019
Afternoon gentlemen, first of all,I apologise as this post is very last minute, but I’m taking part in a charity match this afternoon at Llandarcy Sports Academy against a team of Swansea City legends. Kick off is at 4pm, free parking and entry (as far as I’m aware) and all they ask is for a small donation. It’s in aid of the poppy appeal charity which as most will know does it’s bit in helping those who serve/served in all branches of the military. So get your football fix this afternoon, come down, support the boys involved, do your bit for a very good charity and enjoy what I’m sure will be a fantastic game of football, hope to see some of you there! |

Not sure how true this is, but I was told that we hold the record for the heaviest defeat for any “English” club in any European competition? |

I’ve had much pleasure reading the match threads on various Leeds forums, especially when we scored and the total meltdown that followed it. This was part of a comment posted that shows just how much that loss hurt them. Hilarious 😂 * Swansea cheating. Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh on the ref, as it certainly looked like Swansea had spent a lot of time on the training pitch focussing on diving and any other form of cheating they could think of. It wasn't even just one culprit - there were quite a few at it, which makes me suspect that it was prearranged. The consensus was that they were akin to Subbuteo figures that blew over in the slightest wind. Their #22, whoever he is, was an absolute disgrace. Spent more time on his arse feigning injury before sprinting off when the inevitable foul was given. The most laughable was in the first half. Alioski, all 6 stone of him, ran past their hulking #5. I could see no contact, but the #5 went down as though Alioski had driven a sword through his heart. Now the funny thing is that he was stationary, and Alioski was screaming past him. If there was the slightest contact, the laws of physics would have Alioski flying through the air, or flattened. Neither happened. He continued on his way. Yet the ref made the most improbable decision. This happened time & time again. Then there were the substitutions. Remember this new rule about leaving the pitch by the shortest route? Well Leeds did, and I would hope that Swansea & the ref did. But Swansea pointedly chose the slowest routes every time, as part of their time-wasting campaign. Did the ref object? Nope - he even escorted one of their players from the penalty box to the halfway line. Probably arranging their shower activities. * Timewasting. Right from the start, Swansea were playing for time. I was absolutely stunned. Here we had a team renowned for playing good football, & sharing top spot with us. You'd surely expect them to get stuck in. But no, every opportunity to waste time was employed. Goalie changing sides for kicks, going down like they've been shot & staying there overly long for the smallest infraction, rolling about clutching various bits of their bodies before sprinting away clearly pain & injury free, and standing over our (occasional) free kicks, even in our half, in order to prevent us taking a swift free kick |

Haven’t seen a thread on it, but a special mention to the fans yesterday. We didn’t stop singing from start to finish. I was sat about 10 seats away from the black netting and was having decent banter with the citeh fans....until we went 2-0 up and a few coins started flying over. They, on the other hand were f*cking rubbish and hardly heard them until they equalised. |
