Like I say, sacking and replacing a manager costs money/FFP headroom, and any new manager is going to want to know how much money he'll have to spend in January. The answer we're able to give to that will severely limit the calibre of candidate interested in the job. So they might want to cling on as long as possible.
They might look at our next four games and while you obviously write Leicester off we've got Huddersfield and Rotherham in there, two of the four teams we think will be down there, so let's give him those and see how he goes. Obviously if it goes badly then you've burned off an international break which might have been an opportune moment, and you've lost two big six pointers, but then please return to point one.
Or perhaps they're just getting the replacement in order before pushing the button.
Usually I'd agree with giving him those games against Huddersfield and Rotherham, but then I remember the must win games last season against Blackpool, Wigan, and Rotherham.
Reasonable comments, Clive. The idea - expressed by some here - that the board should be talking openly to the fans about what is going on and the options that they face - is plain daft.
(That's not to say I think he should stay BTW, I don't see how we carry on like this, it's amateur hour)

Another international break coming up in November.
Maybe they will do exactly what you suggest, give it the next 4 games, and then if it’s no good they could pull the trigger in that international break.

Ffs, not another one!
We'll have more international breaks than wins by then
Thats my thoughts as well, this silence from the club is very bizzare indeed.
Surely the club could of easily put out a statement to clear the air, but instead they are silent and not saying anything.
It adds to my theory whether the club are actually in the process of changing managers, but they wont announce it until they sorted out a payout with Ainsworth and got their man to replace him.
Ideally we need a DOF back in to take control asap.
Lee Hoos is pretty much doing this role (DOF) now. He's moved in to the training ground offices (previously occupied by Les) so there isn't an immediate rush to appointment a new DOF and spend even more money we don't have!

LH who, whatever anybody's opinion of him, came into the club being very, very clear in every meeting he was a "numbers and figures" guy who left the football decisions to the football people, now apparently making the football decisions here with Ainsworth.

In fairness in his time here he's probably looked around at those in charge on the football side and thought - I can't be any worse then these guys We've got dozens of potential DOFs and coaches on this forum, and hundreds if not thousands on social media

Possibly but I see it as more evidence the club is just drifting along
As for the 4 games you mentioned we carry on playing like this we will burn those games aswell just like he did last season playing , Birmingham Wigan , Rotherham and Blackpool

Non-league football is like dreaming of playing at Glastonbury but settling for an open mic night at the Piss and Whistle.
I've tried. I've been to Sutton United years ago and a bit of Tooting and Mitcham and it was gash.
Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

Tbf the Pig and Whistle is very up and coming now, how do you like baba ganoush and a delightful vegan tabbouleh?
Sorry, that's what you get at Dulwich Hamlet nowadays. Sutton and Tooting aren't the best non-league experiences. You've got a load of others to choose from

Pedants corner but Sutton United are in League Two currently so you definitely would be disappointed if you went there for a non-league experience.
That said they are 23rd currently so could be back soon enough.

The team is performing so badly that I have little confidence QPR will win those 6 pointers. Burn those games and the challenge for the next manager becomes even tougher.
I've always maintained that timing in football, as in life, is key. It's not just about sacking a manager but whether you've identified a competent replacement. For me, it appears almost written in the stars that the likes of Eustace/Warnock/etc. should become available just as QPR nose-dive into another crisis.
However, procrastination is the thief of time. These candidates probably won't be available come the next international break and, should the form not improve under GA, QPR will be left scraping the bottom of the managerial barrel.
