I suspect the 20 plus wins had more to do with our FFP breaching wage bill, and the signing of player after player, than any supposed qualities that Barton had.

I find the Eni Aluko stuff particularly hilarious because I've met her socially albeit quite a few years ago, around the time she started doing tv punditry actually, and it's fair to say she paints a very different picture in the media to when you meet her IRL.

Strikes me as increasingly likely that 'James' is a voice actor hired to play the role. The conversation is pretty much inconceivable to me, if he was going to engage with her, why would he engage like that, why would he not document his own version of it, why would he give up complete editorial control so that they can make him look a cnt? What incentive has he got to do it? Plainly false from my point of view.

Unless ... He's not cancelled, but he has been mouthing off again, only to get himself in trouble with his own words, as he has not been cancelled after all.
Also, why was Barton hired as a pundit? He was an okay footballer, a terrible manager and just talks utter nonsense. I suspect he was hired so that right-wing nutjobs can be included in a companies' Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. You know to make it all fair and so, some twitter knobs cannot say they are woke, when nasty Barton is hired. It's these sort of D&I schemes that allows talentless slobs like Barton to get these lucrative jobs.
Whereas talented people like Andy Sinton are stuck high up in the Ellerslie Road stand on a cold, damp midweek November night, commenting on PNE's expert use of the dark arts ... yet again.
