Three things i would like to happen during the summer.
Get in early to find ideal crowd pleasing friendlies at home.
Burnley and Man City would be my choice guaranteed full house , exciting start.
Scrap the idea of taking players out of their comfort zone pre season.
July is the best month in the UK, why fly to exotic over-heated locations?
It has never worked, players start season hot bothered and exhausted.
If they deserve it, take them in Dec/Jan/Feb,.. to warm and pleasant training facilities.
And most important lets employ some 3rd level Roy Hodgson type person to keep players happy.
The manager Hill is an excellent coach, but seems to treat players in a military style way.
Not all players have the same personalities, some need an arm around them not sent to the glasshouse.
Spend 100 grand on a player at this level, it has to work.

I'm wondering if BBM is that type of person who could be a buffer between players and Hill? if so its not working I cant for the life of me work out why Cannon was ignored for so long or why Kitching suddenly appeared in the team then disappeared when results improved only to be discarded when it was his first full season. I wonder if Kitching will go on to have a successful career elsewhere like Bennett has. |  |

Probably allows for more focus. Away from families, fosters good teambuilding and helps build stronger bonds sooner whilst they're away.
Probably get more sessions in the day and may even be a draw when trying to sign players.
I think there are plenty of benefits and the only negative being the cost but a residential stay somewhere like st George's in Burton for a similar duration probably won't cost too dissimilar.
