Rose wasn't one of the players to sign an extension this summer was he? Does he have a deal to the end of the season only?

He's wishing him Good Luck on Twitter!

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Does this mean that Hill sees Scott Tanser as a centre half in the long term?

We've got four possible left backs at the club now, assuming that's where he'll be playing. I know at Barnsley he seemed to move him around a bit. Given the start to the season Scott has had, I can't imagine Hill doing anything to block his progress.

Course I am. He was shite last season, but the year before that he was quality. And when he departed, he had nothing but good things to say, which always eases the animosity.

Good luck to him. He's at Dale (again). I can't wish owt against your club.

Just wish you'd sign a nippy forward.

Yes, he signed a new deal.

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

We might as well complete the hat-trick and take Danny Rose off your hands.

I really hope this is the case.

Although Rose is an experienced campaigner, having the quality of TK alongside him will be a boost for Tanser since he won't be expected to bale out his fullback quite as much.

It seems so.

After his performances so far and with Lancashire being out for at least two weeks with injury I am sure that Scott has his place nailed on.

Am I reading that too simply to say that he was quality under Hill but crap under other managers?

Terrible player, truly terrible.

Can't defend, cant pass/cross the ball while moving.

Maybe he only sees Rose as our left back atm? Tanser CB and Done no.10/winger? If so Kennedy would be his only competition

Unfortunately not in this case. He signed for Keith on a deal until January (like he's done today) and made his debut at RIGHT back in our 5-0 mauling of Birmingham on Sky. He then played a couple of other games and disappeared. Only returned when Flicker took over, and played EVERY game under him. He played him left sided centre half in a three, and he excelled there. But then last season when Flicker lost the plot and we went back to 4-4-2, at left back TK was found out.

A level further down, perhaps he's capable. I'd not pick him over Matty Done, but would over Rose. If you play three at the back, he'd be nailed on to start.

Seriously, I wish him all the best. He won't be the first lad that I loved then hated (at football). But as I do with Keith and Flicker, plus Perks, Daws, Daggers etc, I think of the good moments now. Time is a great healer.

Mmmm Kennedy was disappointing during his brief loan spell back here but I guess KH has his own reasons for wanting him. I dont personally agree with a lot of what has been said about Rose, but its great when you have good left footed players who can provide competition for places so I hope Kennedy settles in quickly and adds another piece of the jigsaw. As Whitey says maybe as the left side of a back three or maybe further forward.

Tanser is very young and relatively lightweight for the rough and tumble of L1 Tuesdays and Saturdays and quality cover if you can find it is always welcome as there is little doubt the kid will need resting from time to time.

Superb signing. For me we've struggled in the LB position since halfway through last season. Not any more. All coming together now. Just 2 forwards now for me and we'll be laughing.
