New Kits survey
at 17:24 6 Jan 2023

https://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/news/2023/january/survey_23-24kits/

We have the chance to influence the choice of kit colours for next season in the link for both home and away / 3rd shirts.

Particularly liked the question β€œ If there is no clash should we wear the home strip in away games”? For me this should always be the case and it shows that the club have put a bit of thought into the questions at least.

You’ve got 1 week to have your say so be quick if you want to influence the choices.

Gary Jones takes coaching role ........... at Bradford

For years I really hoped he would eventually become a part of the coaching staff at Dale although I seem to remember it regularly being said that he apparently had no desire to go into coaching after he retired.

New Kit for this season.
at 10:21 21 Jun 2022

Looks like we may be getting the new kit reveal very soon.

Going off that short clip you can see a shirt faded in the background around the 6 second mark that looks like we may be going back to stripes in a new design. Also a yellow badge very briefly shown at the 10 second mark might suggest a yellow away kit this season?

Either way looking forward to seeing the final designs/colours.

Staffing Changes at the Club.
at 12:55 2 Jul 2021

" On moving into the role of Chief Operating Officer, George Delves commented: β€œIt is important to be clear that this isn’t a direct replacement for the CEO role, rather that there has been a fundamental shift in how the club wishes to function, meaning that specific role is no longer required at the present time."

So it would appear that the CEO was made redundant.
If so this is a brilliant move from the board as a way to get rid as it should have vastly reduced any potential settlement pay out he would have been due.

A good move by the club to agree two years as he offers versatility which will be key with a small squad.

One for the BEER enthusiasts on here?

Not a beer drinker myself but know a few on here are really into it and thought this may be of interest to some?

Aldi are apparently helping out (robbing blind probably) some of the breweries affected by the Covid lockdowns.

Premier League PPV for matches.

The greed of Premier League clubs is frankly unbelievable.
Proof if it were needed that Premier League clubs don't care one bit about their fans. They simply see them as a a source of revenue for a business which is all the EPL really is. I would love them all to go bust and genuinely wouldn't care.

It appears that if they can't sort something out they could be banished from the EFL for next season. Seems set to be sorted one way or the other before the season end.

I suppose it may improve our chances of staying up if only 3 sides are relegated!

The Bigger Cost?
at 13:10 20 Feb 2019

After watching last nights game and the gutting end result I've started thinking about next season. I'm convinced after last night that we will be in League Two next season as no team who defends like we do could ever hope to stay up.

With seemingly more fans than ever prepared to ditch Hill I started to wonder If we are relegated about the financial implications of the drop.

I know dropping into League Two will see us receive significantly less TV revenue than staying in League one and obviously a playing budget to match.
If the board decided to sack Hill we would also need to pay him off which would be a substantial amount for the club.

I'm genuinely left wondering one question, which would cost the club more?

Is the drop in TV revenues big enough for the board to consider sacking Hill now and paying him off in the hope of avoiding the drop and staying in league one and having the higher TV revenues for next season, some of which would no doubt be spent towards Hills payoff.

Or is the cost of paying Hill off going to cost the club more than the drop in TV revenues and therefore the board will stick with him as he would be happy to operate on a further reduced budget in League Two next season.

I've no idea personally of the figures involved so find it hard to make a judgement one way or the other, but was left wondering if anybody else has any knowledge / thoughts on the situation.

I suppose not unexpected news really.

Good luck Joe with whatever life brings you in the future and thanks for the memories.

That goal against Charlton last season will be forever remembered in Dale history.
