With today's news of Grimes wanting away on top of the Luke Williams saga, lack of signings downturn in results are we now in a downward spiral?
With season ticket sales expected to be well down on this seasons and the subsequent reduction in income are we looking at us ending up in LG 1 or worse.
It seems we have sent acadamy players out on loan sold Abdulai in an attempt to balance the books..
Things are not good at the club...and that is not all down to Williams surely...has he instructed the club to send all those players out on loan.
There was much joy when we heard Coleman had relieved us of Jase and Steve but is it now a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire?
Here we are halfway or so through the transfer window and not a single signing yet again more outgoings.
For the third January in a row we are in some sort of limbo...
Martin was "denied" players 2 years ago and last January we were just appointing yet another manager but did see a couple of signings....Ronald though 1 year on has still to achieve any level of consistency.
And now we as fans sit and wait will they won't they sack Williams, will they won't they sign players
It's time for action.....we have only one recognised CB currently available for Saturday....something needs to be done and also not a panic buy
If Williams is a dead man walking them sack him and get on .
It's amazing we as fans demanded Kaplan and Levian out....are things any better?
Some demanded Martin then Duff out .....are we any better?
And now the calls are for Williams out......the question remains will we be any better?
Given the current "mess" we appear to be in and the lack of football knowledge at our senior leadership level should Coleman approach Curt for some assistance
With clubs fiehlding " second string" teams is this once great competition losing it's lustre? Wycombe and Portsmouth both fielding "weakened" sides tonight and there has been much suggestion that we should field a side containing few first team regulars at Southampton.
The great Johnny Walker announced today he will be standing down from his Radio 2 ahows at the end of this month.
Enjoyed his Radio 1 show back in my teens when he played some great music he introduced us to the Eagles.
Met him just before covid struck a down to earth guy..did a great live sounds of the 70s night with a band all of which werent born then. He had some great stories which he couldnt sahre on air ...the guy is dieing sadly. He will be much missed but his Sunday shownid being taken over by anothet great "whispering" Bob Harris who has roots in Pontardawe.
we witnessed a game without a yellow card being shown. I'm sure yesterdays ref had left his at home. His lack of bookings didn't help us against a physical QPR I can't believe there was no booking for the blatant push on Yates when he was through
Well this time last year we were 15th on 35 points today we are 16th with 32 points. So despite losing out talisman goal scorer ,and ditching our manager a month ago we are not really miles away from last season which was the second of the then managers reign and 1 and a half seasons into his process.
Yes we are manager less but in terms of league position and points we are not really that far behind where we found ourselves this time last season. So are things on the pitch as bad as many state
I see the club has announced that safe standing areas will be installed in the stadium for next season....Apologies to Martin Morgan I should have said the Swansea.com
I have begun to wonder why it is managers seem not to be able to spot the issues in a team that we fans see such as the unbalanced midfield with Grimes and Fulton, five at the back for example. This seems to be not unique to Duff as these things were highlighted under Martin too and over the years many of our mamagers even before the advent of the Internet had critique by fans of things not right in the team. Surely if us "amateurs " can see this why dont the "pros"
Ok we are now well into Russ's second season and much debate still abounds around his ability so are we progressing or regressing is the question?
Finished 15th last season currently sit 15th so no change there it seems though the barometer for Russy is his success in the derby....now a double doube....but this season we only beat 10 men at home 2nil whilst last season we beat an eleven man Cardiff 3 nil then away from home we scrapped a late winner up there after giving away a 2 goal lead having beaten then 4nil up there last season.....Progress?
