IMO a bit defensive on the academy players coming through and non involvement in first team affairs.
Wouldn't say he sounds particularly defensive. Probably just aware of the thinking out there that and him and "his mate Ramsey" are hell bent on puppet mastering talentless kids into the first team to further their own careers, even if it sees us relegated to non-league in the process.

“The facts speak for themselves. If I left this football club tomorrow, I’d like to think that it’s in a better place than it was when I came through the door in terms of the culture we now have here, the structure in place and the way we develop players.”
My exact feelings on the Les Ferdinand / Lee Hoos era.

Agreed , Les is growing into the job and Hoos is very proffessional and confidence inspiring IMO . A welcome change from the chaos before they turned up . We could do a lot worse

I got 9/10 … a year out on the Liverpool question … gutted. Frankly after the recent information overload if you don’t get 8 or higher I don’t know how you can call yourself a QPR fan.

The story that he’s had a run in with a few of the Villa players is interesting (or possibly bs). Of course I sincerely hope he is all he’s cracked up to be but has anyone else thought hang on a minute this guy I had previously never heard of sounds just tooo good? When we were first interested in him I read a Villa message board where there were comments criticising Villa’s tactics this season and that Beale was dispensable whereas I was hearing Villa Twitterland were saying it was madness to let him go. Made me think if messageboard posters and twitterees were in general markedly different animals ie realists v chicken-lickens.
More importantly Mr M if I hadda used google I would have got 10.

When I read that beale had a ‘ bust up’ with Villa players, my initial thoughts were it’s probably bs as there is currently nothing to write about as it’s the end of the season.
Or
Beale is putting his foot down on some overpaid average footballers at Villa at the end of the season as they had nothing to play for. Hoping that’s the case as Beale has had to work hard to get where he is today.
I think he will do well here

I like the reasoning. I hope you’re right.

Plenty of great coaches fail to make it because they have the tact of Bernard Manning with Tourette’s.
See David Platt.
As someone else put it, it’s the risk part of thoughtful risk.

Love his thoughts on Cruyff. Underrated IMO (yes I know he's widely considered top 10 but I'd argue best ever - and I'm aware I'm on an island mostly alone with that opinion)

I always believed if something looks too good to be true, then it probably is. I'm still waiting to find the fly in the ointment. This is so un-QPR, I'm nervous. 😱

"Leon Balogun was outstanding for @RangersFC - both on the pitch but also around the changing room. He is a “personality” leader who gives his team mates so much positivity and guidance on a daily basis. Take a bow Leon."
Interesting to read his thoughts on Bobby Robson (made me think of Terry Venables as well) and Cruyff/total football (made me think of Dave Sexton as well). Some good omens 🤞

My view is that this is quite possibly the best (and only?) appointment which can repair the damage I feel was being done by letting MW go. It gives us something to feel positive about now. Looking forward to seeing how this pans out. Come on You R's

Hmmmmm.....
Balogun will be 34 in a few weeks' time so would be seen as more of a MW signing no?
