Firstly I don't condone the fan in question in fact he was bloody stupid but i"m interested to see if anybody agrees that the action of the players involved is just as if not more serious. EFC have banned the fan from the ground and made a complaint to police regarding the fan so will they ban the players involved in like manner? will the police investigate the players? Again I'm not trying to excuse or condone bad behavior but did the players encroach on the spectators space? did the fan react to protect a frightened child? I might be wrong but saw no punch thrown by the fan and plenty more aggression by certain players than any fan.

The fan is a prick, Williams is a prick, most of the players are pricks. From what I have seen only Pickford and Davies are totally innocent on the Everton side. I have never had anything against Everton but many say they are one of the most racist, awful, nasty bunch of fans going.
Was not at the game when we played them few years back but seem to remember reading there was some trouble.

They should absolutely nail Williams for it,he only ever had eyes for throwing the keeper off the pitch inturn causing the whole situation, the blokes always been a massive tool and plays on the edge of the rules permanently as it is...

However, what is more evident in the footage from before that shown in the link, was that the fan with child wasn’t near the front of that stand when it all started.
When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Nobody comes out of that with any credit.

Agree TVOS but I think Davies deserves a lot of credit for how he behaves. Even though a punch is thrown at him.

Didn't Williams get booked for that incident and isn't there a rule about if the ref sees it and takes action, the player cannot be punished further for it retrospectively?
Its a shit rule anyway and I hope they the police / FA / club throw the book at him - he deserves it (bet they don't though).

I thought someone from Everton would have been on the pitch telling everyone to calm down calm down! Seriously, this is a disgraceful incident and with all the footage available there ought to be some heavy punishment dished out to those involved.

I think the ref booked Williams for the foul on the keeper not the punch up (which to be honest had the ref started dishing out cards it could have been match abandoned). This should mean retrospective action can be taken. I've never liked Williams ever since he did this........
