It's only fair because I usually take pen and paper to make notes for the rest of you, without a word of thanks* *not strictly a fact. Others often report back too. Please do so again.

Fans Forum on 18:03 - Jul 28 with 5923 views | SaxonDale | It was asked on twitter earlier whether there would be live coverage/ highlights of the forum available on Daleplayer, but there was suspicously no response. Because of this I hope it's the first (and last)question of the forum.
Fans Forum on 18:04 - Jul 28 with 5914 views | SaxonDale | Maybe we can have a rivals fans forum on this messageboard, I have easily over 2 hours of questions I could ask you on kits. 1) Why is Barcelona's away kit a blend of their two home colours?

Is it? I'm away so not fully up to date on all kit matters. Will address in short order. I expect a full report on here about the forum, if not we might as well invite the B posters from Premier League messageboards to improve things.

Fans Forum on 18:59 - Jul 28 with 5745 views | TalkingSutty | Is it just me, but with the advent of Dale Player you often find that questions you would have liked to have posed have already been answered/ explained anyway? For instance, I would have liked to ask Hilly his thinking regarding bringing Honess and RNL back to the Club and would recruiting them both have resulted in a strengthening of the squad compared to last Season? He gave his reasons in a Dale Player Interview, so the only place you can go with that is to have a public disagreement and let's face it Hilly knows more than we do about recruiting players and his budget. My second question would have been regarding the pricing policy for the Season Tickets. The thinking behind it etc,but that was also explained on Dale Player and also reiterated in a discussion I had with one of the Directors. All options where considered and a decision was made and that's the bottom line. They make the decisions and it's up to supporters to decide to purchase a ST or not, they aren't forcing you. Yet again, what question can you ask because the decisions won't be changed? There would only be one possible outcome and that would be a verbal disagreement which has already taken place anyway ( in a respectful manner), playing that out in front of a audience does nobody any good does it and damages the Club. Final ST sales won't be in yet because they will be hoping for a few more sales next week I would have thought, so not sure if a breakdown of Sales will be provided . What would be the point in travelling up to Spotland to ask those two questions when we have already been provided with the answers? It can only end up in a verbal tit for tat whilst supping overpriced ale. So maybe questions regarding Stadium revenue Streams/ Stadium Sponsorship/ Hospitality issues and updating the facilities in the Main Stand. Three and a half quid for a pint of Bitter? Triffids invading the Sandy Lane Stand, opening the Turnstiles early to access the Studds bar in time for the lunchtime TV game, is it worth it? , explanation regarding this bloody daft Johnsons Paint Trophy debacle. Have a good night and try not to fall out, we're all Dale. [Post edited 28 Jul 2016 19:10]

CG's contribution should indeed be recognised by all. He's played a massive role in our success. What else was said, 1907? Any confirmation around how good the ST sales were?

Fans Forum on 21:29 - Jul 28 with 5164 views | BartRowou | 1. Season Tickets - I'll leave that to someone else as there were various figures thrown around and comparisons with two seasons ago which I didn't understand. 2. The stadium can be sponsored if we want it i.e. a sponsor is available. 3. Keith's budget is probably a bit higher than last year. 4. He still believes there's a player in RNL and his best position is left mid. 5. Bunney struggles with the physicality of Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday but will be a great player if he can come to terms with that side of things. 6. The special player is on the radar of a number of clubs and played (or was sub) for a Championship team last season (that could be a Championship team last year or a team that has gone into the Championship for this coming season). 7. NML really buys into it all and is destined for a great season. 8. I'm not commenting on this year's Stewart Day question. 9. Tanser has regressed according to KH. 10. Colin Garlick got a couple of ovations. 11. CG also asked fans their views on only having the Main Stand and Wilbutts open for the Boycott Cup. He was putting it out there so as to gauge opinion. Something similar might be done for the Chesterfield game (maybe 3 sides). Nobody vehemently disagreed with the idea so long as it saves money. 12. There is a plan to tidy up Spotland but it will take time. Toilets first. 13. The Council seem more pro-Dale as of late. 14. Hendo didn't have his best season last year, as he himself would admit, but he is raring to go for this season. 15. Youth players mustn't dilute the quality when they are asked to train with the seniors otherwise they get sent back to the youth set up. Morley isn't one of the diluted and could feature at some point even though he's only 16. 16. KH thinks Sam Allardyce will be a great England manager. He thinks the England team were mentally weak. All off the top of me head. Nice, friendly atmos. It was easily the most sparsely attended FF - possibly 50 people there.

Think (could be wrong) the total ST's sold up to now was 1203, the breakdown was given by CG but I can't remember the figures now. Best comment of the night was by CD and the Chur at bUry and something about a conman or summat.

I thought they were very cagey on the subject of season tickets , it appears sales are "similar to last season at around 1200" of which about 40-45% were full-priced adult and the rest at some kind of concession or other. I think they said they had a couple of hundred "free" under 11s taken up but didn't comment about if they are included in the number. They are also expecting to sell another 150 or so before the end of August (as they did last year) which I think are included in the 1200. So at present, actual sales are about 1050. Generally, I thought the whole evening was very low on energy and poorly done, I came away with the impression that the Directors would rather have been somewhere else and regarded it as a chore to be got out of the way. Thankfully. Keith was his usual self when talking about players, but clearly toeing the party line on funding. If they can't put a decent presentation on for a meeting with their customers, then frankly there isn't much point in turning up again.

Couple of hundred kids ST?! Really?!!? That doesn't sound right if they've been into every school.

Fans Forum on 21:44 - Jul 28 with 5013 views | Ninco | I would have thought the turnout would be bigger if they did it part way in to the season, when there was more to discuss as there would be the outcome of the games to discuss etc. People don't tend to turn up to these things when everything is fine. They turn up when they are angry at something or want to change something.

Yes it took time to get going and Keith was mute for the 1st 10 minutes - but it slowly got better and was a good night as always. Not many there - but its a bad time with school holidays I guess. He's not happy with how the pitch has (or hasn't taken), says River Humphreys has been a breath of fresh air with his attitude and enthusiasm. Thinks Oxford may be a dark horse out of the promoted clubs, would have played John Stones in the Euro's and astonished Rooney was played centre mid instead of specialist midfielder's (Drinkwater). 1200 season tickets sold. 200 and odd kids ones free (£10). Only 500 or so full adult which shocked me how low. Thinking of shutting Sandy and Pearl st for EFL trophy and just using main stand for home fans (which everyone agreed with). And finally.............beware of con men.

From what I could gather the 1203 was the total of all ST'S up to now. Bottomley seemed happy how the sales have gone, but that could just be spin. I guess we won't know now until next season comes and if anything changes on the marketing/pricing structures.

Ah well, they had a football tournament at the ground and invited every primary school and about 25 / 73 turned up (good effort) - about 360 kids in total. each school was given a goody bag with leaflets to give out in school but I think there were only a couple of hundred leaflets despite Colin Garlic insisting that there are 500 kids in each primary school (=37,000). Apparently, leaflets have also gone out to all schools but from memory, no one on here has or knows kids that have brought one home. Needless to say, they didn't have any spare leaflets for people to take to cubs, youth clubs, local junior teams or to pass on to the kid next door.
Fans Forum on 21:55 - Jul 28 with 4917 views | Ninco | Must be a big primary school to have 500 kids in it. Usually 7 classes, (one for each year you are there), and 28-32 kids in a class, so about 200 kids would be more accurate.

Thanks for the info. The numbers will always tell the story. From there it's about taking that information and making changes in the future for the benefit of the football club. Something supporters who voiced concerns were worried about with how ST were promoted - the club comes first.

Hilly says he's at a Championship club and played mostly sub last season? Says he's been ringing/texting every week to check. Who is Hilly mates with in the Championship? And most probably local? I can only think Simon Grayson at Preston?
