I'm beginning to think that he is a bit like Alex Ferguson. All other clubs should be wary of buying a player from him!

I'm still not all in as ridiculous as that sounds after a great night,

We were dominated in 1st Half last night, playing out from the back was never going to work with no one showing to receive the ball,

We fortunately got back into the game after Nardi's save to stop them going 2-0 nil up, McGuiness's horrendous mistake opened the door for Frey he did superbly,

Luton were suddenly rattled, maybe not surprising after 1 win in 23, then they lose possession to Dembele, go to sleep at the back post and we have something to defend,

Great result but not sure down to Marti management master class,

Two week break will give him time to work with the new players and when Chairs back we can start to properly assess how he's doing.

playing out from the back worked the first 15mins and the last half an hour, Luton pressed well after they scored and we struggled to get out but the manager again made changes which swung the game back in our favour, one of many things he is very good at

Let's hope so. He has all the makings, but with the exception of the Leeds game, arguably has yet to coax a 90 minute performance from the team. I look forward to seeing it soon.

Genuine question; What do you mean when you say, "90 minute performance from the team"?

Because you can't surely be saying that we play well, and run the game for the full 90 minutes?! No team ever does that. Even Man City have spells when they are under pressure and the opposition have the upper hand and possesion and can and will create chances.

So, curious as to your definition of a "90 minute performance".

I've got the Power.

Yes agree on substitutions, moving Dembele into middle seemed to open up the pitch and led to creating 2nd goal,

Can't recall first 15 minutes in detail but just thought we couldn't get beyond our own half for most of the first 45mins,

If we'd known McGuinness had that level of rickett in him we would no doubt have gone long earlier.

I think it's very unusual to get a masterclass 90 minutes especially at this level. Most opposition teams will have good periods in matches as there is not loads in it between the top teams and bottom teams in the Championship.

I think we need to pray that Southampton get some points on the board because I can very much see them picking up the phone when Martin gets the push

I like him a lot and think he's doing a very decent job, but I'm not getting suckered into hype.

We've won one (league) game against a side who have one point from four games. Beale, who everyone to a man or woman now thinks is a complete arse, had us top after 16 games.

I expect we won't have him for long - this and maybe next season. If Nourry is as good as he thinks he is he will be succession planning.

He needs to make sure he reads your posts this season so he can work out how to get it sorted a bit more quickly doesn't he? ;)

Bare bones.

Where is this reasoning that he would leave us if someone came in for him? He appears so far to have been backed by the board, he has all the players giving their all for him and most important, his relationship with the fans seems to be really solid.

There have been other successful managers who have stayed put at their club and taken them on. Lambert for one springs to mind and there have been others.

He strikes me as a very switched on person, who will know the grass is not always greener on the other side

You may be right and Marti may stay with us for a good few seasons. However, he seems to be an ambitious man who likes to move up the ladder when the opportunity presents itself. Over 10 years as a manager he's been at 7 clubs, including us, in 5 different countries. We won't be his final destination that's for sure. Let's enjoy him while he's here.

I like that he sometimes admits that he's lucky. Good managers get that slice of luck.

Never knowingly right.

Beale had just four points from the first four games and he had Willock and Chair firing on all cylinders.

Marti hasn't had that luxury. Has been integrating numerous players that haven't even played in the UK before or in Dembele's case, hasn't played in the Championship. He has five points and we have negotiated two rounds of the cup, whereas in 2022 we went out to Charlton in round one.

To add to this, I don't see why the need to prove himself - He did that last season when majority here had written us off
