You have roasted Blair in the past for WMD and Iraq, didn't you say he should be on trial for war crimes? He's a liar but regardless, EU law meant he had agreed to whatever they wanted when he signed the relevant treaty, the UK was obliged to do what the EU wanted, Blair couldn't say no or the UK would face legal action, EU law takes primacy over member state laws.
Blair was an ardent Europhile, he wouldn't have said no to anything anyway, forced on him, no...he was their pet poodle.
