Is Europe turning ? on 01:27 - Dec 17 by Kilkennyjack | Are you talking about Wales and Scotland in the failed UK model ? The UK only voted out because people were misled and lied to by the usual suspects like Farage. Scotland, London and the north of Ireland knew better. Reality is very different the EU works as you can trade across borders seamlessly so the benefits of market choice are realised. And EU regional aid is targetted on needy areas so that they can grow into future markets. Its almost like countirs working together can deliver better outcomes than the can on their own. Think trade deals. Size matters. Johnson has said he had no plan to deliver what he promised, he said he just set out to win an arguement. You cant get more idiotic than that. Conman pure and simple. |
Primarily it wasn't about trade though. and having tour own money back wasn't something to rejoice about . You seem to be another who creams himself every time you come across a blue backgrounded sign with the words £Funded by the EU " it isn't/wasn't

Still not accepting a democratic decision by the people of the successful United Kingdom including Wales. Still believing the lies of the remainers. The undemocratic EU is in trouble you only have to see the reactions of the people of France, Germany and Poland to their leaders.

Don't think anyone is calling you a Jerk. We all have different views in a democracy and we have to accept democratic decisions even if we did not vote that way.

Failed UK? Arguably it’s been one of the most successful unions in world history! Prior to 1707 these islands were a forgotten backwater in Western Europe never more than 5 minutes away from a vicious civil war. Within a century it was the most powerful nation in the world, a beacon for industry, science, health, freedom and literally built the modern world. Apart from Bonnie Prince Charlie and a couple of frenchies rocking up at Fishguard we’ve had three centuries of relative peace at home. It’s crazy you spout off about countries working together as being better but you don’t want Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England working together. Or specifically you don’t want them working with England. Your anglophobia oozes out of every post like the pus from a rancid cyst.

Brexit was a democratic choice by the majority of voters. They thought the EU was not democratic. It has not whatsoever to do with Xenophobia. The majority of the UK population don't hate or fear foreign people. Not like you to be controversial.

Don’t agree at all Not far from you is Fenland. Plenty of flower pickers concerned about foreign Labour It’s why they voted so strongly to leave Foreign workers will work longer and for less . They drive down wages That’s why “ working class” areas voters voted so strongly on favour of Brexit. When it all comes down, xenophobia is merely lurking around the corner from all of us . We either admit it and be honest with ourselves or we lie or kid each other .

Don't agree with you at all. Scotland is working class and voted to remain. A higher percentage of middle class voted to leave than working class. I am sorry you fear and hate foreigners.

Possibly racist amongst a certain demographic, the older voter. Possibly. But you cannot tar everyone with the same brush.

Decent reply An object lesson in how to reply I am not tarring all with the brush but it's certainly how I feel about why many did

But you'd be wrong. 61% of UK residents took a foreign holiday last year, hardly a thing for xenophobes to do. Then consider how many non UK nationals live in the UK, if we were a largely xenophobic place then I'd say they weren't welcome here and there be a much bigger protest than anything we have seen. There were a multitude of reasons and yes, some were racist and/or xenophobic but far from the majority.

I don’t see xenophobia as you do. If one looks at the definition ,matters are clearer Frankly,Ove never seen xenophobia and foreign holidays juxtaposed in this way . I have know countless people who are suspicious ,reserved about, apprehensive, dubious about “ foreign” folk but see no problems with going abroad for a holiday Anyway Spotty on soon

Ok, I'll accept the holidays thing but what about forigners living in the UK? Put another way then, do you think I am xenophobic? Or racist? I voted leave because I was fed up of EU interference in our country, political interference that saw a lot of industry leave this country. I also felt the EU was less democratic than the UK.

Rubbish. This union starved a million people to death in Ireland and forced another million to flee to the new world. 1847. The Highland clearances were not particularly merry. 1750 to 1860. And you might want to read about the treatment of the welsh princes. Forgive me if i dont quite see your union through the eyes of the BBC like you do. The welsh have paid a heavy price for coal as well. We need to make the UK fit for the modern world or its dead. I actually want a strong independent England working with the other nations. You kniw a bit like the EU model. You kerp being a happy clapper, theres lovely for you 🇬🇧

Is Europe turning ? on 09:51 - Dec 18 with 147 views | felixstowe_jack | Funny killy never sees the irony of wanting independence from a democratic UK only to surrender it to the Undemocratic EU. He never accepts that the UK, including Wales, democratically voted the leave the EU. He also refuses the accept that 80% of the Welsh population don't want independence.
