FA Cup 3rd Round 20:09 - Dec 3 with 7857 viewsrochedale

Ok, so here we are again, not often we can say we are looking to the 3rd round draw. I'm sure I recall, I'm probably wrong, that when we played Palace, that year was only the 4th time we had reached the FA Cup 3rd Round. How many 3rd rounds has KH now took us to? I'm sure it's either 3 or 4, if so, that's an awesome record in itself, for us...

Sutton at home. Banker for TV coverage, with a reasonable chance of progressing.

No hurry, let`s get a lower division side at home and keep progressing, the extra money off the FA will be very handy and might help Dale from having to sell a star player in order to survive as we have to do from time to time. The big clubs can wait,if we keep in the tournament,it`s only a matter of time.
On another thread, does anybody know what`s happened to Will Buckley? Last I heard he was at Sunderland, but loaned to Leeds.

The top two divisions make up the first 44 balls so AFC Bournemouth are 1; Wolves are 44.
Numbers 45 to 64 are based on the draw for the previous round.
Because our game was the last one out of the bag (Carlisle v Maidstone/Rochdale), we are 64.

The 60's and 70's were dreadful times for the 'Dale in the FA Cup. How many times did they lose to none league teams ? Altrincham and Bangor, both at home are particularly etched in my memory. Anybody else remember us making Altrincham's Jack Swindells look like Johan Cryuff ?

Was thinking exactly the same re: Camps equaliser.

If we did get a $$$$$ kerching! tie, it could be legendary.

In all the years since the early 1960's when I started watching Dale, the worst moment for me, was the utter shambles that was the 4-1 home defeat by Telford. I know there were some other miserable FA Cup performances, such as you mention, but on that day, we were completely and utterly humiliated. The stuff of nightmares. I imagine Chesterfield supporters are feeling very similar this morning.

That was a nightmare day!!

Telford dished up a football lesson we chased shadows all afternoon.

Probably the worse cup experience ever ( although FC United was bad too )

Morgan scored it as well. I remember a couple of seasons ago he was the young striker everyone was raving about signing in Lg1.
