According to someone on scfc2...

Theres someone on the clubs radar who hasnt been mentioned in the press.

Early 20s. British. Has Premier League and European experience. Very good with the ball - treasures possession. Hungry.

Not Jack Cork. Watch this space.

I have done some sleuthing and here is what I have come up with

Gael Bigirimana

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ga%C3%ABl_Bigirimana#Career_statistics
http://www.rateyourplayer.com/posts/who-is-gael-bigirimana-and-what-will-he-offe
http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/news-opinion/red-button-gael-bigirimana-no

On the second link someone even specifically mentions that he would 'excel at Swansea'

Another possibility is Nick Powell but I'm not sure he's the right type of player (it says he's a midfielder but I've never seen him play but get the impression he is more attacking), plus I wouldn't count 2 apps in the PL and EL as experience really. If this one did happen think it would be a loan move.

What do I win if I'm right?

could see it being Powell, who could not only be good cover for Siggy but a 3rd choice striker too. good shout that.

still, hope we hear some good news about Stambouli

I thought we were after more of a DM.... wasn't it mentioned linked with JDG that Monk was happy with his other midfielders who were all more natural attacking minded players - Siggy, Shelvey, Ki and Emnes and specifically wanted more of a DM to balance things up ? ...

Our needs DM, FB and winger being the three positions the club want to target... seems to rule out Powell to me...

Do we really need a winger?

We're not in the Europa League this season, and have Jeff, Dyer, Routs & Marvin.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

Doesn't look like we are signing Stambouli now does it. That's three players this summer where it has been reported a fee has been agreed but the player hasn't come - Stambouli, Payet and Castaginos. All three would have been good or excellent additions to the squad :-(

Been reported ? It was also reported that Ashley Williams undertook a medical at QPR and that Bony had agreed to go to Liverpool just because it is reported don't mean it have happened Monk stated no bid have been made for Stambouli..

Monk said we've made between 20 and 30 bids this summer.

I've been impressed by the standard of player we've been going for. The strategy seems to have been to get quality players in for cheaper due to their relative situation. There's always going to be misses there like Payet and Stambouli (it looks like), but has meant the deals we have completed involve quality players.

Totally agree. I think Huw and Monk have done great business over the summer and the squad looks really balanced and very capable. Stambouli and Payet would have been the icing on the cake.

the next tweet goes on to say that they may pull the plug after the carroll deal. that said, there were no midfielders to bring on yesterday. sure, there's richards and sheehan, but nobody would feel comfortable with either of them on. the club would be naive to think that there will be too many MFs when Fulton and Leon are back.

sign him up.

The article basically says that whilst Marseille, Fiorentina and PSG have been linked with Stambouli, the players father says that Stambouli's "dream" is Swansea.
