So……

Hamstrings made out of Wrigleys Spearmint gum

Mentally fragile

In poor form in a poor squad

Contract running down

A club publicly stating “we’re on the cusp (somehow) of breaking FFP”

It doesn’t all add up to a decent transfer fee for the lad does it? I’d be surprised if we got anything like a couple of mill now. Mental that anything less than £10mill si months ago woulobeen robbery

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

The only upside is he unlikely to be signed by anyone at this level of form and fitness. Might be a chance to get a new contract done.

If he told the manager he was fit and backed up by our medical team, absolutely he should be on the bench at least.

But, every chance you’ll tug your hammy after 4 minutes of play if you haven’t spent a single minute warming up properly in the 68+ mins before coming on.
(Don’t include the tippy tappy at HT)

This!

If you've got troublesome hamstrings/injury issues, then it seems incredulous that you'd simply go from being sat on your 'arris one minute, to playing the next. Madness.

Les said in Clive’s recent interview with him that we have just brought in a psychologist….

‘Just’ is the interesting word here. Why have we not got a full time psychologist working with the first team? It certainly isn’t down to a lack of funds and if it is then why do we need Critchley and three first team coaches plus Ramsey?

The club need to be more forward thinking rather than reactionary. It was the stood out for me from both Les and Lee’s interviews (as well as the negativity, contradictions, and lack of accountability). No forward thinking, no reflection, no learning. These are the constraints, this is the plan, what else are we supposed to do? Well, that is your jobs guys, take some responsibility instead of just debating your position. If you speak to fans then enter into it for dialogue to learn from, not argue your case.

It alll stinks of stagnation, and regardless if you like Lee and Les, you think they are doing a good job, then a change maybe the only thing that is going to correct the current situation. It may not, but we are getting to a point where we have to something, do anything, but choosing to do nothing is not looking like a good option.

Going slightly off on a tangent, all of the current players injured; Willock, Balogun, Richards, Roberts, Amos, Salter were all injured at the start of the season.
Were they all rushed back too soon under Beale, and now we are suffering the consequences, or are they all just a bunch of sicknotes?

I think some were rushed back, to cover Beales giant ego, and we are really suffering the fallout.

Well they are perennial sick notes whether teams are winning or losing. Balogun really annoys me though. An "innocuous injury" that our specialists couldn't find co-inciding with the one reason Leon joined us leaving and apparently it is enough to keep him out for nigh on 4 months.

JCS and Roberts clearly don't fancy it; Willock unsure. Certainly something not right with that hammy, so WHY is he still playing? Surely they get him sprinting on training, which would expose a dodgy hammy?

I am so so frustrated about Rangers today; will be there Saturday, but am clearly just going out of apparent obligation as I expect nothing and get that every time whilst shelling out >£100. Sanity will have to kick in at some point.

Depressing.

Can we go out yet?

Might have something to do with the club signing players with history of injury problems and gambling we can manage their situations.

Qpr should negotiate some kind of exit package with balogun and terminate his contract

He’s clearly never going to play for us again this season so any wage relief willl be for the best

Re Balogun, I dont understand why any 34 year old player nearing the end of his career would want to feign injury/engineer a way out of a contract that has laying time left in it.

He has 1 or 2 more seasons left in him why .....hang on I might be answering my own question here.

Bin off this season go for 2/3 more years elsewhere

captains fantastic

Willock had no time for warm up & hence he pulled up chasing that ball well he didn’t chase it, if he does get fit before season finishes I just wouldn’t play him, mind over matter with him

If that is the case, then that is a huge error on his and the coaching staffs' part. Sinclair Armstrong was doing stretches after the half time whistle, before he was the final player to leave the field. He has pulled up in games before. It is clear he is not yet a 90 minute player. It maybe because he is a young muscular player whose body is still growing or developing.

The half time warm up was a joke. It needed Willock to be getting seriously ready for his inevitable introduction to the game.

JCS has been a terrible signing he has a heart the size of a pea him and Roberts sum this club up
What possessed our DOF to release Barbet for this coward

With respect, he and QPR had a good idea he'd be coming on at some stage in the second half. In which case, he had 69 minutes and a half time to be warmed up and ready to be introduced.

Absolutely. If he's injured himself - IF - bc of lack of warm-up then he's only got himself to blame. He's a professional footballer (who only a few short months ago was the best player at the Club) - he has to know he's going to be brought on at some point in the second half. Both at half time and during second half he should be making sure he's ready to go if called upon. It's not like he's the bloody 3rd choice keeper ffs

Amos

There was a narrative going around that Barbet was a disruptive influence and his contract shouldn’t be extended. This made it to the shareholders and the decision was made not to renew.

I’m not sure how true or false this is. My own take is that we was a player ready and willing to play week in, week out. Maybe it was clearing all of ‘Warburton’s’ people from the club; playing and non-playing staff? Maybe Barbet wanted to go back to France?

All I know is that he would be better value than either Balogun or JCS, let alone combined. More proof of what manager wants, manager gets.

Would love to hear Barbet’s version of events.

Re Barbet I think probably a combination of us only being able to offer a cheaper deal and him wanting to go back to France (married? with young kid). So I think we were stuck on that one.

Barbet didn't want to go from what I've heard.

And Willock warmed up plenty before he came on. Bit of a false narrative building up here.

Bare bones.
