| Forum Thread | Didcot v Hereford - match abandoned at 12:29 7 Mar 2017
I parked near Didcot station this Saturday and noticed a big mob of hoolie types coming out of the station and descending on the nearest pub. I assumed they were Bristol Rovers fans as they were playing Oxford but thought it odd being so far away from the city. On return to the car at 2.30pm the police were in attendance in numbers and it appeared to have kicked off in the pub. When I checked the next day it transpires these were Hereford fans attending the Didcot game which was abandoned on 89 mins due a pitch invasion with the Didcot keeper being head butted after Hereford scored what they thought was the winner. Hereford apparently took 800 to the game which was about 4 x the home support. It looks like Hereford are the new AFC Wimbledon ie a phoenix club working their way back up the leagues with comparatively huge support. Once again its a shame for the genuine fans as there will be sanctions and possible points deductions just as the club is having a change in fortunes. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/didcot-town-vs-hereford-abandoned-99 |

In the Times today 'A former fairground mechanic has been identified as the final member of a group of British Islamic State Prison guards nicknamed the Beatles. El Shafee Elsheikh 27 comes from the same area of London as other members of the cell. Elsheikh, a Queens Park Rangers fan, has been identified by both UK & US intelligence services according to Buzzfeed and the Washington Post". Lets hope Hull get promoted |

As an aside, just interested to see what makes sensible football fans(or soccer fans to you plastic yanks ) watch that sorry excuse for a sport? Now I say that knowing there's a multitude of you lot out there that during your day jobs are sensible QPR fans (yes that maybe an oxymoron ) but if you want to diversify what's wrong with Rugby? There's a sport you could watch IN THIS COUNTRY live every week rather thank puked up in a franchised, commercialised fashion maybe once or twice a year (Dons metal hat and retreats) |

Had a mare today. . . and to confront Charlie the way he did after fluffing his cross was outrageous So many times today his crosses and passing were very poor. Is he expecting an imminent call from Spuds? |
| Forum Thread | Non Footie - New Mobile Phone Assist at 11:58 17 Dec 2013
Techie help required please! I've just got the call saying phones up for renewal. I've always had iphones since I can remember and they really seem to be pushing the iphone 5 (even chucking in a £100 gift experience voucher), 4G, 5GB downloads etc So do I stick with iphone or go for something like the Samsung Note 3 that has a bigger screen? The biggest issue with iphone is the battery life (10 hours as compared 20 hours with Samsung) Im tempted to switch to Samsung. Has anyone advice/recommendations that won't make me regret getting stuck with a pup for two years? Thank you in anticipation |
| Forum Thread | Derby v Ipswich (Draws that seem like a win) at 16:49 2 Oct 2013
There's been a few with the most recent being the 2-2 Derby result in the promotion season. But my personal fave is of course the 5-5 Newcastle draw coming back from 3-5. Preston a few years back runs close when we were 0-2 at home . . . and then enter Gareth Ainsworth! What's everyone else think? |
| Forum Thread | Spare ticket needed for Liverpool game at 11:12 28 Dec 2012
Looking for a ticket for the game on Sunday. Initially wasn't able to go but can now make it. I've looked at viagogo but they want silly prices (£100+). Help much appreciated as meeting DubaiR for beer(s) prior match and would be good to actually watch the game! |
