| Forum Thread | Are the website/social media lads just towing the line? at 13:27 2 Jun 2015
Surely, even in the very bottom of their heart of hearts they must no that no fan is in the remotest bit interested in the dated of fixtures, cup draws or whether Jose Cubero has been selected to play for Costa Rica. They'd be better taking everything off line until we get the name of a manager because all their doing at the moment is riling fans and arguably losing a Hell of a lot of followers! |
| Forum Thread | Are any of the O's businesses currently profitable? at 08:47 25 May 2015
Someone asked me this question yesterday and I honestly didn't know - would seem the hotel, estate agents, magazines etc are all relying on football money and as of this season it's tough to see how that will make any money? |
| Forum Thread | I think the camel's back would be well and truly broken .... at 16:32 21 May 2015
... by the straw because it would be the last one. This man is an absolute arse of the first order and I would be amazed if Karl Oyston hasn't spoken to his counterparts at Preston about just what a Grade One tosser he is! |
| Forum Thread | Is it good that nothing is coming out of the club? at 11:42 20 May 2015
For once, I actually applaud the club for remaining tight lipped about prospective candidates and who could take over the luke warm seat. I think in the past far too many times names have leaked out (I suppose Brian Flynn being the classic) and it seems that fans have maybe had too much sway in KO's decision making (I still shudder at that poll in the Gazette which said Jose Riga was fans favourites - why, why why - I never understood the reasoning and then Karl arsed it up anyway by bringing him in without knowing what he'd be like). Whilst it's frustrating for Will etc I think a degree of silence is a good thing (although wait for the storm once the news breaks!) |
| Forum Thread | Why are the Championship Play Offs so late? at 14:41 14 May 2015
Seems strange League One was all wrapped up last weekend and yet the Championship isn't until Friday and Saturday of this week - harsh on those planning for the final! Any thoughts - am going to go with Middlesbrough v Norwich final |
| Forum Thread | What about a Fans Chat night? Maybe a BST night on here? at 17:57 7 May 2015
When AVFTT first came over here we used to have fan chat nights - how about BST arrange one on here in the chat room and discuss everything that's gone on? Would include the exiles and be interesting to hear what fans have to say en mass? |

| Forum Thread | How long will Clark get next season at 08:23 26 Apr 2015
Get the impression Clark has only kept his job because he knows how much is wrong at the club and he's being asked to do a total rebuild. However, KO will know without a good start that there is no way he'll ever win the wavering few hundreds back (and I reckon we are talking hundreds as opposed to thousands) and does make me wonder how long he'll get. For me, 3 wins from 6 games in August should be the minimum he has to achieve or I'd show him a door that he should have already been pushed through. |
| Forum Thread | Is our season now resting in the hands of PNE? at 08:52 18 Apr 2015
Another massive bollock dropped by Mr Grayson's side last night against 10 man Port Vale who got a pen with 5 mins to go and made it 2-2 thus denying PNE a real opportunity to put some breathing space between themselves and Swindon/MK Dons. I think as bad as our season has been, North End now missing out would be the one cherry in a very large pool of crap! |
| Forum Thread | Has Clark told Barkhuizen he can go? at 13:38 9 Apr 2015
Sure I read this somewhere - looks like he may be eating his words after the latest injuries. Personally I still think he has a future, especially at League One where players with pace to burn are so valuable against defenders who have often seen better days. |
| Forum Thread | What do we think the ACTUAL crowd will be on Tuesday? at 10:08 6 Apr 2015
I can't see Reading bringing more than 200 and I would be very surprised if we got more than 1800 in - I think 2000 which would surely be some sort of Championship low crowd of all time? Along with worst points total and no away wins, this really is a season to underline our owners incompetence! |
| Forum Thread | Your Oyston Conspiracy Theories at 09:54 4 Apr 2015
This is the question I get asked by other fans more than any other. What is Oyston's objective now? What is in it for them? Let's face it the Premier league season was a freak and should never have happened but before then they must have had a plan for the club and where it would go. Were they just happy having a Championship club, using the land to help bring in money, the kudos of being football club owners and providing jobs for most of the family. I just don't get what they're doing with it or where they will take it. Are they waiting for Owen to kick the bucket and then they'll flog it to the highest bidder, if so why hasn't Owen intervened at any point in the last two seasons to sort this mess out, are they just poor businessmen or is this part of a long term strategy? I have never been able to supply an answer to the question. My theory? They use it as a play thing, got lucky with the Prem season and now things are going wrong haven't a clue how to put it right. Be interested to hear what others think. |
