Same futile cliches - working harder, understanding the basics etc., then nothing changes on the pitch. Either he/the club think we're stupid or are embracing the defintion of insanity about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results (or both).

Mind you, with this inept, powder-puff, and crying-off squad, what are his options? The players (those who are semi-fit) don't look up to it, and the manager demoralised and out of ideas.

I wish I could grow super-long arms and embrace the 1,300 hardly souls in advance.

Poll: What should the club do now (assuming no imminent change of owners)?

a lot of financial reasons for him to be sacked rather than resign but also I imagine he feels he can keep us up which given the circumstances would only enhance his reputation

I don't know why you would think he feels that - why wouldn't you just file it under all the other 'what else do you expect him to say?' content that some others here seem to be quite happy for him to purvey pre-/post-match? As I've written elsewhere, he's hardly going to give the players a vote of no-confidence or publicly doubt his own abilities, is he, even if he feels like it.

Apologies, though, if I overreacted earlier, misdirected any bite-back and/or misread my own thread (though it's unlikely to change my opinion of those who prefer to pile onto a caricature of me so they don't have to deal with my content).

PS Much as I can admire your own eloquent bile, Clive, it's remarkable to note you can predict all my reactions to all manager interviews till the end of time. Are you gifted with some kind of Nostradamus-esque second sight? ;-)

Wouldn't surprise me if Marti walks away from it. What's in it for him ? He's been sold up the river, has no cards to play with and is being marched out in the firing line for his 'crimes'. Not sure what he has done to deserve it if I'm being honest.

Great post . Any decent player we have is on the sidelines and for a long time .
Our best defender , our most gifted player and our best striker (or should I say our only striker.)
Throw in Dembele to that lot as well .
Marti is up shit creak without a paddle and it ain’t gonna get any better.
He’s not entirely without blame . Doesn’t seem to a plan B at the moment.
Let’s try and get to Christmas without being to far adrift. Hopefully beg for Hayden to come back and play for nothing and possibly get somebody with electric pace into an incredibly slow side and which has been for years.
I can but dream.

That's some question

I've just seen Jack Supple post that Nicolas Madsen has failed to register a single tackle in 4 of his last 5 appearances.

That's just unacceptable. I wonder what the data was on this aspect of his game when we recruited him?

Ainsworth set the floor for these club interviews, Critchley nearly as bad. Warburton guarded, cautious and reliant on cliches but honest and 'with respect' respectful. Cifuentes also guarded but also, to my ear, not cliche-ridden, not full of BS and, as Clive rightly says, reveals far more in post-match sessions with journalists. Those with long memories (me!) will remember how terrible Alan Mullery was at media interviews. Gerry Francis never fluent but always honest enough and always with a sense of humour.

I honestly believe you could be in a room on your own and yet still be insulting and cause an argument.

He dug this manager out since the day he arrived, hasn't stopped since - He is probably sitting at home getting off on the fact he's currently failing

It's an unbelievable stat, couldn't quite believe it when I saw it, thought it might be a joke 🤯

No I haven't, and you're a tw*t who prefers to deal in fantasies about me in lieu of knowing about about me, like the one or two usual suspects here. Go and project someone else, or just ignore yourself!

I mean if it wasn’t Jack posting it I’d think it was b*llocks.
I know he’s been bad but that’s utterly disgraceful and incompetent.

Dave McIntyre’s comments on the podcast with KG were interesting that he felt that there was now no scenario in which Madsen and Celar can succeed in the Championship if they don’t completely change the way they play.
I don’t think they can. They are so far off it and once again our recruitment is so bad it’s embarrassing.

What an utter shambles

Lost the argument as soon as you resort to personal insults fella

I think plenty on here have established who the tw*t is

Tbh I know there is a lot of anger in particular towards new players including Celar, Santos and Madsen.

It wasn't their fault they were signed and for quite considerable amounts we believe. They couldn't turn it down even though perhaps even before getting here, they may have assessed their style of play was very unlikely to cut it in the english championship.

We seem to have had a transfer window on a par with a Hughes window or even a wind the window down Redknapp one !!!

So many players coming for life changing amounts.

Am sure they would like to be performing better of course and have to say I think as has happened a few times, you can almost visibly see the fear in some players. We have been here before sadly !!!

The West London Sport Podcast seemed to suggest that when scouting you look at players at least half a dozen times in actual games, but they felt with a few of our recent signings this has just not happened.

But Cifuentes, he is a bit better at doing these after match assassination interviews than Ainsworth, who just looked like he was out of his depth and drowning. At least Cifuentes manages to smooth over the many cracks a little easier but as others have said, there is not really much to be said in these chats.

Clearly attempting to put a positive spin without admitting we been truly awful, without actually saying that.

There is never anything worthwhile to garner from any of these chats and like others I rarely view them, for that reason.

I have been pointing this out for weeks!!

And the recording of Dave Mc and Gallen indicates what the data would have said. Dave Mc says he spoke to other clubs and scouts who had looked at Madsen and they didn’t sign him because they felt he was “too weak” for the Championship.

At least it’s an easy stat to address, grow some nads may be against illegal cloning mandates but teaching someone an inherent, violent, but measured instinct is doable…wait, when is Colback healthy again?

Celar and Madsen will never cut it at this level and need to be shipped out for huge losses

Santos I think could come good
I’d also hazard a guess he’s a cheaper punt than most of our wonderful recruits

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
