To take minds off the current shitshow has anyone got any memories of the 1973/74 season, the cup run, top London club, George Bests Last game, playing against Rodney Marsh etc
I'm doing a video on the season as got loads of footage from that season but don't want to leave anything out
Does know if our overlords at Sky have announced the tv games yet? Looking to book Sheffield train tickets but holding off until they let us know when the game is, that announce all games when the fixtures came out seems to have been forgotten
I thought the game yesterday was summed up by how we approached injury time, just the 5 minutes so make every second count, Spent the first minute and a half shouting and pushing the goalkeeper to hurry him up which wasted even more time than just letting him go through his time wasting nonsense.
Then a free kick last seconds everyone up try and win the first header but hold up Begovic wants to go head to head with someone, Dunne having a pushing match as seconds tick away
It's been a record breaking year at QPR for all the wrong reasons and certainly one to forget but as the year draws to an end a chance to look back over the year in numbers.
We played 49 games winning just 8 of them which is the lowest number of wins since 2012 (9) and joint worst in the clubs history.
The mammoth 29 defeats is the 2nd highest number of defeats in a calendar year and the worst since 1926 (also 8) The worst ever year was 1902 when we lost 35 games
We scored 38 goals, the lowest number of goals in a calendar year in the clubs history whilst the 13 home games without a win is also the worst run in the clubs history.
The total number of points won of 36 was the lowest since 2012 and the second lowest in our history since the switch to 3 points for a win.
The 4 red Cards was out highest number of red cards since 2017 and the 88 yellow cards was our lowest since 2020.
Sam Field made the most appearances featuring in 47 of the 49 games played. Kenneth Paal (43) and Ilias Chair (42) were not far behind him.
Lyndon Dykes had the most goals with a grand total of 5, Ilias Chair (4) and Chris Martin (4) were the others of note on a very low scoring list.
Ilias Chair got the most assists with 8 ahead of Chris Willock, Lyndon Dykes, Sinclair Armstrong who all had 3 assists
Our biggest home with was 4-2 against Stoke whilst the biggest away wins the 2-0 wins at Middlesbrough and Preston.
Our biggest home defeat was 4-0 against Blackburn, we also lost 3-0 at home on 3 occasions with the biggest away defeat being the 6-1 at Blackpool
Bit of a break from worrying about the current team I'm doing a video on the best 100 goals of all time but thought it might be worth doing a vote for the top 10 I've selected so the winner is not just my pick.
Should be a video on there as well showing all 10 goals, loads of others worthy of going in but tried to vary with a few from each decade from 60's to now
Vote will close at the end of October with the videos of all 100 goals online at the start of November
Alternatively just post on here which one you think is the best and Ill add them on
