I don’t mind the club keeping my money owed on the remaining home games. It’s dead money in my book.

One thing they could do though, is convert the money owed into QPR cash, so you use it in the club shop.

Surely that wouldn’t cost the club anything.

Only addition that would have been good is knocking the remaining balance off next year’s renewal.

Gets my vote.

Can you stream on a smart TV, or alternatively, connect a tablet to a smart TV?

Think a Chromecast dongle thing would be able to do that, but there are probably other ways too - HDMI cable from a laptop etc

I’ve been able to do it on my Xbox browser before, so you should be able to. I guess it depends on what PlayStation use as an internet browser. You could always go on the browser and try and watch Iplayer on it and see if it works. As I’m no tech expert but if that works as an embedded video stream then it’ll be no different to the qpr embedded stream on the website??

That is one of the options they are offering.

My situation isn't dire, mainly because my partner has carried on working so our household bills are being met, my personal bills are not. I have only had three days work since mid-March, no government assistance because I am a limited company with only me as a director, I also have possibly the world’s most unhelpful accountant who specialist subject is being wise after the event.
However, I pay for three season tickets which will be renewed so a next season discount will be more use to me that getting a few quid back now, which I would rather not have, I would only waste it.

Really generous offer. I have an earlybird senior gold ticket at £359 (+ £20 membership + £45 audio streaming). So £15.60 ticket price per game. Refund would be £62.40.

It would be £90 to stream all nine fixtures, so I am better off! Even if I calculated the price with one or both the add ons, I am still better off.

Don't know how it works out for others with full adult price but it can't be too much more than a £90 refund for the four remaining home games.

I totally understand your position but I would imagine that discounting next seasons tickets would be administratively more challenging than a straight refund and therefore incur additional manpower and cost.

Perhaps you could take the refund and put it in a safe place till you renew your tickets.

You've paid for the access already so surely the only difference is that you will be watching games without spectators?

And they’ll be many other supporters in a similarly difficult position, it will become concerning if supporters feel the need to justify why they need the money back or discounted next season, they shouldn’t, they’ve every right to want it back.

All the talk about a new dawn in football, where players are finally confronted with the reality of club finances, I’m already doubting that will happen.

Well done the club, very good solution, and quite happy for the club to keep the refund.

My adult silver season ticket is £459 I think, which would mean the refund is around the £80 mark, but it’s complicated because of our family package in the lower loft.I reckon it would work out at around the £70 mark for each of us.
So if all the games are £90 then it won’t be worth it for us to ask for the refund.

If you all live together and you want the money then maybe you could take the refund for some tickets and just leave one ticket to refuse the refund and take the streaming offer.

Might have to wait for the box office to reopen to see if that is possible.

My brother lives in Dorset,my mate lives in southall/Greenford,my niece lives in deptford and my daughter and me are in Suffolk,so I think that is a non starter mate.
The first two are over 60’s so it all gets too complicated to work out who is due what over refunds,so it might be just as well to let them keep it all.

Agree Steve. I’ve seen Tweets saying things like “are you even a proper fan if you’re taking a refund?” I’m not taking one but some ppl have lost jobs, lost income, have family to support. There’s a huge recession coming. £90 is a lot of money. Qpr pay footballers many thousands of pounds a week.

True. We may as well shame people for not paying double for shirts in the club shop. Bastids.

That's option 3. Really pleased with that as I wrote to the club suggesting it as an option about 6 weeks ago. Also pleased its for next season so it doesn't have to be used in a rush. At least the money statys with the club.
Some clubs gave not given any options so well done R's

Well yes, it means you can all watch the nine games without paying any extra.

I have been socially distanced from money for far too long, there is no safe place!
