This week's QPR podcast on 10:35 - Aug 22 by TacticalR
Finney is more your creative roaming free spirit than your disciplined sitter.
I was listening to the podcast on the tube this morning and the sound wasn't very good - I could hardly hear Matt Smith.
Would really really like to hear what Matt Smith did in his FFC Gap Yah.

Let's face it I'm not getting any thinner.

Constantly butting in with pathetic 'banter' his jokes are about as funny as arse warts and if he wasn't a part of the gig it'd be a much better listen.

Ideal line-up IMO: Fraser, Clive, Michael Hann, Chris Charles. I want to hear proper, moaning, cynical Rangers talk. No interview, just focusing on the last match and the next match and going off on tangents.

Finney is getting so far up his own now that I turn off when he's on. Shame.
Sorry to say I do the same. I'm sure he's a nice fella, and don't doubt his passion for the club but, to be blunt, he ruins the podcast. Shame for the other guys as there's clearly a lot that goes in to it. If he wound it in a bit and concentrated on the football rather than trying to be funny I'm sure he'd be good. I'll give this one a swerve.

Finney is a super fan, lovely guy by all accounts, I see him holding court at 2:55 outside the paddock entrance, gives up his time for the show etc etc but he makes it unlistenable. The constant interuptions gives me a head ache, he doesn't even do it once during a sentence, sometimes he does it multiple times, drives me mad.
Also, each interviewer doesn't need to ask the guest 'how you doing' I think it happened 4 times!
Let's have more of Mel, Clive and the usual host and less of the camp American and The guy From BT sport.

Finney is better as a panelist than a chair. It's pretty hard to do both. David Fraser is better as a chair and can stop Finney rambling on.
Having said that I do think people are underestimating Finney. He has consistently been spot on about the problems at the ground (atmosphere) and the problems with the team.

I'm the exact opposite, actually. Prefer the interviews!
Bare bones.

Totally agree , the podcast is all chummy , chummy and pro qpr , maybe they need it that way to get the interviews from the players , which less face it are utterly boring and a waste of time I don't care how bonkers lynch is, how Washington is down to earth , how the lads are pulling together , if I wanted to hear that I would buy a programme
have some serious debate about the club, the systems , the game, formations, management , get some fans and talk about the old games and seasons , half of the panel cant tell you what happened 5 years ago let alone 25 years ago the best podcast was the one with alan Johnson on it because he knew what he was talking about and was a aloud to speak without one of the panel butting in with stupid questions
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

I turned off the one with the American bloke the other week, toe curling doesn't do him justice

I was the only one around this week that's why I hosted on reflection maybe with other things going on I should have cancelled and waited for the others . Sound is hard in the place we are now which is why we are moving in a few weeks . No problem with thread it's honest and I'll take it on board and the chin . And sorry for being unfunny shite and a turn off To be honest I don't hold court I just talk to mates like we all do I'm no better than anyone else who is QPR or ever will be Clive was asked on he could not make it always welcome is Clive . Right thanks again and please try and keep listening and will always try and do better

Set one up yourself, paul. It's easy enough these days and you're not short of opinions. Would be entertaining.

Well I think you all do a good job on their mate. I listen to every podcast and your passion for the club shines through!! Don't like interview with the opposition fan I'm really only interested in Rangers !! Keep up the good work!!
AND WHEN I DREAM , I DREAM ABOUT YOU AND WHEN I SCREAM I SCREAM ABOUT YOU!!!!!
I think the variety of the slightly camp American, gruff old Mel, Fruitcake Finney and the rest makes it worth checking out every week. Finney sets things up for others to shine because of his energy. He made the Clint interview better for sure. Guests always take to him and relax into good conversation rather than it being an amateur interview. Better when David Fraser is keeping the reins on him, that's for sure. It's not as if he doesn't get told to shut up regularly throughout the podcast so nobody's revealing a secret here!
Less is more, Finney!

Also finney seems to have a big heart because loads of times he has mentioned rangers fans who are ill in hospital or going through a rough patch! As I say keep up the good work mate👌ðŸ‘!
AND WHEN I DREAM , I DREAM ABOUT YOU AND WHEN I SCREAM I SCREAM ABOUT YOU!!!!!
The Podcast is similar to the team, they have good and bad days, this weeks wasn't the best but I always think it's harder for them to put on an interesting podcast when the team are doing well as there isn't much to talk about.

At least you've stopped swearing so much :).... I like the podcast but think some of the comments regarding the content of the show are valid. Sounds like it needs to be a bit more Football Focus and a bit less Soccer AM.

It's a tough old world out there mate. Two things I love to read each week are SQUIRES cartoon on the Guardian, and Mediawatch on F365. Then I read the comments. Squires in particular is absolutely superb. But you get the usual pr1cks, who've never done anything of note in their lives going 'where's the jokes?' or 'not funny this week' or some such utter bullsh!t. I swear, some people live just to slag off what everyone else is doing. That's society for you - a whole group of people who can only feel good by trying to bring everyone else down. Not saying that's everyonre, and not saying that's the case with people here, but it winds me up that some people seem unable to recognise how hard it is to produce content every week. Keep it up.
Bare bones.
